Happy Birthday Honey!

Chris and I finally got a date night Saturday. My brother came over to watch the girls so Chris and I could go out. We never really got to do anything for my birthday and since today was Chris's birthday we went out and treated ourselves. We went to a yummy dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and then went to the movies to see this. Chris and I both LOVE the 1st movie so we were excited to see the 2nd. It was okay...a little confusing and it definitely leaves it open for #3 to come along. We had a really good time together, maybe even rekindled a little. With the midnight shift, we don't get to talk much.
I finally got the kitchen all unpacked and cleaned. I also sorted the dining room. It looks really nice. Pics are on flickr.
Alanna's second tooth finally popped through. On the bottom, she has 2 teeth now. She was so crabby and clingy this weekend. Have you ever seen that sharpie retractable commercial on TV right now? The one where the lady tries to sit her baby down and as soon as his feet touch the floor he cries and as soon as she lifts him up he stops. I swear to you...that was Alanna this weekend. I am finally shaping my biceps with all the moving and unpacking and don't forget holding baby workouts., by the time my wedding rolls around I will be totally in shape. Speaking of weddings lets do a little venting.....

I bought a dryer from my cousin because my dryer was electric and I have gas hook up, I went to my Aunts house today to pay her and my grandpa from Florida was there. When I walked in he didn't even recognize me until my Aunt told him who I was. (Now lets stop there for just a second, you need more back ground info......My cousin is also getting married, her date is June 2, 2007 and my grandpa lives in Florida and comes to Michigan every summer from the middle of May to Sept or Oct, okay I think we are ready now) Then my Aunt tells him about the wedding and says its in April. My grandpa looks at me and says "I don't know if your grandmother and I can make it since we are already coming early for Holli's wedding shower in early May" Yes he said that....I just looked at him and shook my head as I was drawing blood from biting my tongue so hard. How dare he say he can't come up one weekend earlier for MY wedding yet he can come up early for my cousins wedding shower. OH OH OH OH I was and still am so P~I~S~S~E~D~O~F~F! You know this is just so typical of people in my family. This comes from the same man that gets angry at me if I don't invite him to Hannah's B Day party when he is still in Florida. One time a couple of years ago I called him in Florida to tell him when the party was going to be. He was supposed to be here by then, he told me he didn't think he would be able to make it because he didn't think my grandma would be feeling well that day....Mind you this was about a month before the party. I do not need people at my wedding like that and I sure in hell do not need people in my family like that. My girls will not grow up knowing how that part of the family is. Do you have any family members like this in your family. I could go on, but that definitely is for another day....maybe one long rainy day I'll tell you about my older sister. Now there is a vent session you do not want to miss.
