A few of the blogs that I read on a daily basis has either quit blogging or questioned whether they should continue on. This really got me thinking about the reason I really started my blog. Thinking way back into January 2006 I remember the 1st blog I ever read. It was the infamous SJ. She was hilarious. Everyday I could not wait to race to the computer to read her. Then I started in on her comments. The commenters read her everyday too. It was like one big blogging family. Men and women coming together and speaking out about similar issues....like everyone knows how you are feeling and what you are thinking. I remember telling Chris that I want to start a blog and name it cheeka-beeka because that is a nickname I gave Hannah in the past. It started as "come here chica" and when she was learning to rhyme like at the age of 3 she would say "chica beeka mommy", then when Alanna came along and I still called Hannah Chica and Alanna has become Beeka. So in viewing sense I changed chica to cheeka and you get cheeka-beeka...Anyways I'm way off track. Where was I? Oh yeah, I told Chris I wanted to start a blog named cheeka-beeka. He said...okay so do it. I was nervous, like the blogging community would not accept me or something. Was I funny enough to become a blogger, did I have enough stories to write about, do I make sense? I felt like I was back in highschool and afraid of the cool kids...what am I talking about, I was the cool kid.(that was a joke people.. ha ha) Anyways I talked to SJ and she directed me to blogger because it was free, and I am all about free because I was new at it and if I decided not to stick with it, what would I lose. Moving on. I started to find more people through links. I started with SJ and found Zoot, Rockstar Mommy, MamaC ta and Amalah. I read them faithfully for months and then I got my 1st comment. I almost peed my pants...yes I will admit it I was that excited. She came just in time too because I felt like no one cared and I was almost ready to give up. She came to me and said my girls were cute, she had me there...anytime anyone compliments your kids you automatically like them right? Well I do..she said I was great and she thought I was funny. FUNNY, some one thinks I'm funny. I called Chris and was telling him all about her. He finally got me to calm down and he asked who. Oh, who! Lindsey I said, Lindsey likes me honey she really really likes me. I was so afraid to email her back. Do I say thanks for for being my only blog buddy and you are my 1st and only commenter I have ever had, and then stalk her to make her comment again? Do I not respond and make her think that I am just to cool for school and play hard to get? I did email her and said thank you and then stalked her to get all the info on how she found me. I think the 1st email went something like this: Dear Lindsey, thanks for saying you like my site, how did you find me? what do you like about me? Why do you come back and so on?
I think I am getting off track of my main point. Yes I do have a point. My point is I have had the thoughts should I continue on with the site, should I let it go? Since moving I have been a bad blogger and only posted every other day instead of everyday like I want. So I thought about it and I figured I would stick with it. It really is a way to vent, and some where to put my feelings, thoughts and also a way to show off the girls. So internet I am making a plea. I want to know who visits me and why? Is this your 1st time? Do you visit everyday, everyother? Are you a lurker and never comment? Tell me who you are and a little something that is interesting....something maybe not everyone knows. Also if there are any questions concerns or comments you want to leave for me, feel free.... It will give me a whole new topic to write about. Thanks and Happy writing!
