Ice Age 3, Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Alanna is my movie buddy. She is a lover of animals and TV...that sums her up. I base a lot of my reviews on what she enjoys, because the movies are geared towards her age group. What she likes is important to me.

Now Alanna loves all animals, she likes the classic puppies, kittens and birds, but what really excited her are the "odd" animals: ant eaters, elephants, lemurs, sloths, and animals along that line. She can identify every animal and can pretty much tell you all about them such as where they live, and what they eat.

Her new animal fascination are dinosaurs, she wants to know where they are and when she can get one. With her birthday around the corner she has asked for dinosaurs to play with.

When I asked her if she would like to help me do a review about dinosaurs, Ice Age 3, Dawn of the Dinosaurs, you would have thought I asked her if she wanted to win a million dollars. Her eyes lit up and she screamed YES! YES! YES! When the movie came in the mail, she ripped right into it and it was in our DVD player in 30 seconds. We have watched the 2 previous Ice Age movies and they are cute as can be. I must admit though that the 3rd movie is my favorite.

Ice Age 3, Dawn of the Dinosaurs brings back all the old cast, plus a few new friends. Manny and Ellie are expecting their first baby together, Diego is worried he is becoming to soft hanging with the new herd. Then there is Sid, lovable, trouble making Sid. Sid decides he wants a family of his own too, but goes about the wrong way (as usual). When Sid comes across a nest full of dinosaur eggs, he decides its time to be a "mommy" When Sid becomes in trouble its up to his "family" to rescue him, and down into the secret underworld they all go. Along the way the gang meets a new friend named Buck. He is a one eyed hunting weasel who becomes the guide through the new land.

The movies is funny and heart warming. It talks about family and teaches lessons along the way. Its the perfect movie for that little dinosaur lover in your family.
