Today as I was reading all my fav sites I found a MUST READ site at Amalah. Today she brought tears to my eyes as did all 100+ comments. Each inspirational comment brings a new light to being a parent. I am very amazed that she was so brave to actually post such a story. What you ask could be so important to check out? She almost lost her temper with her 8 month old son. She explains how she just needed a moment and sat in her closet and threw shoes at the wall. I am very passionate about this because my grandpa wasn't the type to walk away when my mom was younger. He would follow through with his threats. My mom has tried hard to teach herself to just walk away from my brother and I when we were younger. I don't think my words to Amalah do her justice. I praise the women out there that are able to step back from a situation with their child. When women become mothers our fears, and tempers do not get turned off, instead they seem to become more out there, and harder to control. I can surely relate on many accounts, I didn't have shoes to throw, instead I found empty hangers since all the clean clothes were folded in the laundry baskets, waiting to be put away....Lets give a big HOLLA to all the moms and dads out there!
