Lots of updates

I know I'm a little late with my Wednesday weigh in, but I have excuses..Valid excuses. For starters I did not get to weigh in today. Usually my weight watchers meeting are at my work, and today right before the meeting started my building got evacuated. Some miles away there was a tanker truck that was releasing some kinda chemical in the air and the gas like smell was coming through our air vents. We had to stand outside for about 30 minutes and then they told everyone to take an hour lunch. Needless to say my meeting was canceled. I tried to weigh myself on another scale and it said I was down another 1 or 2 pounds, but for now, I will say nothing about weight loss. Hopefully next week I will have some good news. This does come at a good time however since I was really nervous about the weekend, so I have another week to get ready.

Tonight I had dinner with my mom before she leaves Friday morning. Just me and her..It was nice. We haven't been able to get together just us...in probably about forever. We talked, and laughed..No tears. That came later. After dinner I went back to her house to pick up a few things she was giving to me. As I was leaving, I hugged her goodbye and the tears started. I really didn't think they would come yet because she is sleeping at my house tomorrow (Thursday) night before she heads out early Friday. I cried, she cried and I told her how much she meant to me. I'm gonna miss her so much.

Tomorrow (Thursday) is Hannah's first day of second grade. I cannot believe how much my baby has grown. She is so excited, yet I can't help but be so nervous for her. I remember my days in school, not so much 2nd grade, but I remember being so nervous that I would make myself sick...My stomach would hurt, and I could hardly breathe. Tonight we picked out her outfit, packed her book bag and made a lunch. I remember how I cried her 1st day of kindergarten, and wow have we come a long way since then. I sure hope she has a good year. Last year, I wasn't to fond of her teacher, so I hope this year is better.

I leave you with some amazingly cute pictures of Alanna. She found a pair of her sisters pink sunglasses and has been wearing them non stop. She wakes up in the morning and puts them on and hardly takes them off until bed time that night. ENJOY!
