I love being a girl

Hannah had her birthday party Sunday and received a nice amount of cash from some very giving friends and family. It was burning a hole in her pocket Monday, So while Chris stayed home and played with Alanna, Hannah, me and Ben made a dash for the mall.

Hannah had a plan. She had a gift card to game stop and wanted to buy a game for her new Nintendo ds and so we headed that way. She decided on a baby game. She has to adopt a baby and then care for it. She got a needy baby always wanting to be fed and changed, geez, just like in real life why would she want to play that in a game too? She also picked out a cute case to hold her games and the ds.

Next we headed to bath and body works, where she used me as the human tester to find a fragrance she liked. She walked out happy with sweet pea, I walked out smelling like a tramp (to put it mildly)

We walked through Clair es, a young hip boutique with funky earrings, bracelets and other stuff. She didn't really find anything there. Next we stopped off and shared a cookie from Mrs Fields and had a nice mommy/daughter chat in the food court. Of course Ben was there too, but he was happy to be drinking his bottle and ignoring us :)

We walked down to Target and she looked at the clothes but didn't find to much she liked right now. She bought a pair of earrings.

We walked back to our car with me thinking that I wish I could have more times like this. Me and Hannah, walking hand in hand laughing, and enjoying the moment.

Alanna is a little feisty sometimes. She is 3 and hyper and never stops going. Sometimes it is hard to get one on one time with Hannah with Chris' schedule. Most days when he is home he is sleeping (he works midnights mostly). Hannah is a good girl though and we make time for each other when we can. We had a great night shopping and she wore me out. I got home and my feet hurt. She shopped until she dropped and still has money left over.

Aren't little girls wonderful?? Boys too, of course! You should make a new tradition that every year on or around their birthday they get some one-on-one time with Mom. They'd enjoy that, and so would you!
