Teachers

Hannah had her last day of kindergarten today. She was promoted to 1st grade. I can't believe that the school year is already over. Her teacher sent home a sweet letter about the school year and how she wishes everyone good luck next year. I still remember my kindergarten teacher. Her name was Mrs Armbrewster, she was pretty cool. A couple of years ago when I was in college and a waitress at Bob Evans, my 3rd grade teacher came in to eat. I went to her and told her what an impact she had on my life. (She was my teacher when my parents divorced). I actually made her cry, not on purpose, but it was one of those Oprah moments. Yeah it was good! We should always let the teachers in our lives know how much we appreciate them. I think about this a lot because Hannah's in school now. Lets all take a field trip over to my friend Crafty Lou. She is a 1st grade teacher and I think shes great! She has a lot of good things to say. When you stop by, don't forget to say HELLO!

  2. Thanks for the gracious compliment Tasha-I still remember every little detail about the teachers who really made an impact on my life too. And I wish I had the opportunity to tell them that. I don't live near any of them now. But I think about them alot because I'm constantly thinking about how my students perceive me. Do they like me? I know they have to for a little while, but do they really like me, and will they remember me? Who knows. I know some do, because I get visits a few times a year from some kids who I thought I'd never see again. But I'll always wonder about some of them...
