from peapod to baseball

Yesterday Chris and I went and started our Christmas shopping. With me staying home we knew we would have to start early so we aren't bombarded with it all at once. We got a pretty good start. Actually we are almost done for the kids. We put alot of stuff in layaway. Ben is completely done, and Hannah and Alanna only need 2 more things each..And then the stocking and the kiddos are done.
Since Chris and I got together about 5 years ago its been one of our favorite things to do around this time of year. We pick a day and leave the kids with a sitter and do our shopping together. We play with all the toys and take our time and its always a lot of fun. This year was hard to control ourselves. With finally having a boy in the house, Chris wanted to go a little over bored, well actually me too. We had to keep reminding each other he will only be 5 months on Christmas. With all the cool things they have like tool benches, 4 wheeler power wheels, the HUGE walking dinosaur, and cars galore it was like "Christmas" for us....go figure?
Chris was all for buying a baseball, a mitt and bat. He wanted to teach Ben how to play ball right away. We finally settled on an elmo/cookie monster giggle ball and fisher price phone. Lets not have him grow to fast, huh!

  1. Christmas shopping is fun. But it definately is a lot harder with only one income! We bought most of our stuff online this year as it's just easier. But the boys are finished for Christmas AND their next birthdays! Yay!
