Tell me your secrets-Giveaway!

With having 3 active kids plus 1 dirty husband, I do a lot of laundry. More than I ever thought I would be doing in one week. Thanks to MomSelect I was lucky enough to be able to try Sun Burst with sunsational scents (clean and fresh) detergent on all our dirty clothes. The detergent is 2X double concentrated, HE compatible and does about 29 loads from the 45.4 FL oz bottle I received.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle was the scent. I loved it. It smelled so fresh and fruity. I am very picky about the scent I choose for my detergents because I have to smell it all day as I am wearing the clothes and also when I cuddle with the kids. I was very impressed with the smell.
I poured in the measured amount and added my clothes. I always pretreat stains, sine I am always guaranteed to have a few. I let the washer and the detergent do the rest. After the wash cycle I put the clothes in the dryer. After the clothes dried, and I was pulling them out for folding, I still noticed the lovely scent and was still pleased with how fresh it smelled. (Fresh scents are my fav, I am not really into flower smells) I also noticed that all the dirt and stains were gone from the clothes.
One thing I was worried about was Ben. I recently took him off the baby detergent and had only used my normal detergent on his clothes. I was worried that his baby skin might be to sensitive for a new detergent. I worried for nothing. The next day I put on some of the washed clothes and he never had any irritation from the new detergent.

Enough about my laundry, I want to hear about YOU. Leave me a comment (plus your email address) telling me one laundry secret you have and you will be entered to win a coupon for a FREE full size bottle of Sun Detergent. There will be 5 lucky winners, so spill the secrets not the kool aid! (get it?!!!)

HAVE FUN!

  1. One of my laundry secrets??? If one of Kenny's dress/work shirts sits in the dryer too long (AKA I'm not prompt at removing clothes from the dryer and folding) and is rinkly, I will put it through the dryer again with the next load of wet clothes just to avoid ironing. It works like a charm!!!

  2. It's not really a secret but have been trying to be consistent to do "laundry days" say Mondays and Thursdays (or Fridays)that way mentally I don't feel like I am always doing laundry! It's helped some but I am still flexible.

  3. My mom introduced me to Spray N Wash when I had my little one. I put any of her clothing that needs attention on the washer until it's a laundry day, treat the problem sites and let them sit about 10 minutes, and viola!
I've only had a few of her outfits that the stains didn't come out of. Spray N Wash is my new best friend.

My laundry secret? Pretend you forgot the clothes in the dryer and if you married a good man he will come along and fold them for you! haha (Just kidding..! Or not!) Actually, I just don't have any laundry secrets. Except for the fact that I avoid it until I realize my family is going to be naked if I don't get it done soon. (Buy more clothes! LOL)

I try to treat any stains right away, even if I'm not going to do laundry soon. Then I leave the item on the washer as a reminder so I can spray it one more time before it goes into the water.

  7. My Laundry secret is to use the shout pen from my purse. It once got an oil stain out of my white capris and even if it doesn't remove the stain it is a great way to ensure it will come out when you wash them later.

  8. One secret... hmm, I always throw in a little bleach in every load, except for really dark clothes. My father in law told me to do it, 10 years ago, and Ive done it since!

  15. Some of my laundry tips were already listed like using dish detergent on oily stains--I also use it for ring around the collar and I use hydrogen peroxide on fresh blood stains before I wash the item.
