July 4, 2008

lets play catch up.

I know I haven't done much on updating on whats been going on the last couple of days. Even though the dr let me off strict bed rest, I've still been trying to rest as much as possible. I do not want to be put back on bed rest :)

Monday, I went to the dr and things were good. The dr was pleased that my blood pressure was down and told me I only had to come on Wednesday due to the holiday weekend to get a check up. She also wanted another ultrasound to check to see if baby was still breached so if anything happened over the weekend I could go to the hospital and tell them that on Wednesday the baby was breached. Alanna didn't get a nap due to the neighbor mowing the lawn and so this is how she was at dinner time.

On Tuesday, we rested some more. If I remember right it was a little cool and we all just hung out inside. Alanna found a "pirate" hat and was trying her hardest to impersonate the backyardagins pirate show. It was cute, I wish you all could have been here to see that. Another awesome thing Alanna did on Tuesday, she was playing in her diaper, because its the best to be in...Anyways I told her to stop growing because she was getting so tall..She then started dancing on her tip toes and said, help mommy I gowing. It was adorable. I just love what she is coming up with lately. Anyways I think that happened on Tuesday.

Wednesday I went back to the drs and had an ultrasound. GUESS WHAT? Baby turned. He is now head down and hopefully will not turn again. My blood pressure is still down and was the lowest it had ever been. I also lost a pound. The dr was so happy with me, she was grinning from ear to ear. Baby is about 5 1/2 - 6 pounds and has LOTS of hair floating around she said. Thats no surprise since both the girls like I said before had tons of hair. My ultrasound tech is awesome and she took her time and stayed on his profile for a few minutes so we could see what baby was doing. He was yawning a lot...His little mouth would open and close every few seconds and he was so relaxed. What an angel...I am already so in love. The dr said since the baby turned and my blood pressure is down there is no medical reason to induce so she will let me go until I deliver if all stays good. I am so happy with that.

Thursday, Chris, I and my MIL took the girls to the lake to see the fireworks. It was a great time. A little chilly for July, okay lots chilly, we had sweat shirts and blankets and were still a little cold. But it was all worth it. It actually was the 1st time Alanna seen fireworks. When she was 6 months old she was sleeping, We didn't make it when she was 18 months old, she was sleeping at Disney World* and then it was this year...She had a blast. She was ohhhing and ahhhing..telling us all the colors and waiting for the booms and she would tighten with the excitement. She was loving it. The finale really got her and she was grinning from ear to ear. She didn't want to leave. At 11:00 the girls were passed out in the backseat.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY
Please enjoy your holiday and be safe.

*And for the record, it was so hard to enjoy firewroks after seeing the fireworks show at Disney. If you can I recommend going to Disney JUST for the fireworks....AWESOME..Its worth a lifetime...
