A day to remember

Today I am filled with many mixed emotions. I am filled mostly with the sense of family. You know that feeling you tend to get around the winter holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thats how I am feeling today. Knowing that tomorrow I will be welcoming our newest addition to the family.

Chris and I went to dinner (by OURSELVES) last night for my birthday and we had a great time. We went to our favorite little Mexican restaurant and had what we always get and it was delicious. We talked alot about our fears with this new baby and the excitement we can hardly hold inside. We discussed a lot of issues that have been on my mind lately such as the upcoming arrival of a boy with 2 girls at home. Reconnecting with my husband always feels so good. We get so lost in our day to day with the house, kids and work that we sometimes forget to talk to one another, I mean seriously talk and the other person listens. Last night I went to sleep loving my husband more than the day we married. Its a feeling that I can't get enough of.

I find myself tearing up a lot this morning with the girls. The smallest things they do today will send a tingle to my heart and I cannot thank God enough for our happy, healthy little family.

Alanna was playing with her fisher price little people set...She was singing out loud quietly. She wasn't saying any words just a melody and it was so sweet. She caught me watching her and she smiled and blew me a kiss. Right there in that moment I started to cry and could not wait to get my arms around her small little body and hug her and never let go. Hannah even with her attitude lately has been super sweet. Besides laughing her butt off at me when I tried to get up from the couch this morning and could not, she has been by my side worrying that that any minute now I could go into labor. Hannah has went to every dr appt with me, because Chris is either working or sleeping, and Hannah wanted to make sure I was okay. Last week she stayed the night at a friends house and she called me like 8 times in 3 hours to see if I was okay. One time I even went outside without my phone and I had 7 missed calls from Hannah and 5 frantic messages wondering if I and her little brother were okay. She was on the verge of coming home to check on me. (sweet girl)
I cannot even begin to think that after Hannah was born I was done having kids...To honor my 2 girls with a little brother is the best gift I can give them growing up. Knowing that one day I will not be here and my kids will have each other will allow me to leave the earth and my family a happy mother.

I go into the hospital at 6Am tomorrow morning..I'm not sure if I will have time to blog in the morning or not. I asked a great friend to update my blog for me so hopefully she will be able to get the news to you in a good amount of time..If not go and yell at her and make her update, LOL.

whats another day of waiting?

Last night I had the most pain staking contractions. I almost forgot how painful this child birthing thing could really be. I was giving myself about another 30 minutes before heading to the hospital and then they amazingly went away. I was grateful. All weekend I had been spreading out cleaning the house and preparing for my hospital admission on Thursday. The floor got swept and mopped and then vacuumed. I was going to do grocery shopping and laundry today. Well last night with the contractions I went into emergency clean house mode and did 4 loads of laundry and frantically made a grocery list. Today I finished the shopping for the food and any last minute preparations. I am officially ready to go into labor.
The dr visit today was productive. I lost a pound..My total weight gain is 20 pounds. My blood pressure was high (could be do to the extreme heat, or the emergency get ready for baby mode). I am no more dilated than one however baby's head is down and in the cervix ready for the entrance to open. My induction date was pushed back to Friday July 25 ( which so happens to be my older brothers birthday, he is very excited). Dr said she was on call on Thursday and can become very busy. She would prefer Friday so she can spend more time with me, How sweet is she? So Friday at 6am it is. Whats one more day of aches and pains and not sleeping. It will be the same after baby is born, LOL.

July 19, 2008

a quick update

I just realizes I have not posted anything since Thursday...Geez, where is my mind..Oh right on the fact that I am about to deliver my 3rd child in about 5 days..
The dr appt on Friday was good. Blood pressure was still a little high, but okay. The dr said she would check me on Wednesday (happy birthday to me) to see if my cervix was "favorable" for the induction because she doesn't want me in labor for hours and hours on end, and I agree. So if it is favorable I will be induced at 6AM on Thursday July 24, if not she may or may not push the date back a few days...God please no I can not be pregnant for another day or 2.

Other than that I am okay and things are pretty much the same around here...I am tired, and crabby and have not been happy in days. I have aches and pains and I cannot sleep. Yup being prego is great and its a good thing babies are so cute in the end or terrible things may happen to a pregnant lady when she is almost 38 weeks pregnant, LOL. The girls are being good and poor things are putting up with mommy for the time being. I don't know how long I can convince Alanna that laying on the couch to nap is a fun game but for now its still working...hehe..
My sister has booked her flight for Thursday July 31 and will be here for the weekend. I cannot wait to see her, she moved to Florida in May and I haven't seen her since she moved down there..The girls are way excited too. Aunt Ashy is coming home, Alanna says...

July 16, 2008

With all the excitement of really doing nothing around here, I have completely forgotten about my 36 week, 9 months post. So as I always say, What better late than never? It will be about the 37 week of pregnancy because I am not going backwards, LOL.

When you are 37 weeks pregnant, you may be feeling very anxious and ready for your baby to be born! If you are anxious or nervous about the upcoming birth, When you're 37 weeks pregnant, your baby is about 14 inches from crown to rump and weighs almost 6½ pounds. Actually we are thinking baby weighs more like 7 1/2 pounds with the estimation of the ultrasound right now, hehe..

The major things the baby is doing this week are:

Your baby continues to develop fat at the rate of half an ounce a day
Your baby is getting rounder every day
Your baby's skin is getting pinker and losing its wrinkly appearance
Your baby continues to practice breathing movements.

Changes you may be noticing around 37 weeks pregnant is that your breasts are increasing in size and fullness. During the third trimester, hormones in your body cause your breasts to increase even more in size to prepare for breastfeeding. Your breasts can feel full and heavy, and they might be tender. (yup got that, but honestly I didn't think they could get much bigger, LOL), Also after week 37 of pregnancy, your cervix may start to dilate in preparation for labor. This means that the mucus plug that seals off your uterus from infection and bacteria will discharge from your body (dilated to one baby).

So that about it...Sounds glamorous doesn't it. Thats okay only 8 more days until my little boy is here.

July 14, 2008

The time is here

Okay I know its been a couple of days, but I have been so tired and not thrilled with trying to complete an entire post and have it make sense. Nothing special over the weekend. I had some contractions on Friday, but obviously they were not real, since I am still prego. Saturday I was so tired the girls and I stayed in our jammies ALL day and thought nothing of it. Sunday we became a little bit more productive but nothing to write about. Now on the the good stuff.
As usual I had my Monday dr appt. My blood pressure was a little higher than it has been and I told her about all the contractions I was having. She asked about how I was feeling and I sure didn't hold back. I also told her I thought either I was leaking pee or fluid so she checked me out..Well its not fluid...But I am dilated to 1 and she said by next week, I could be ready for labor. I know that I have said that I would like to go into labor on my own, but after much thinking about it, being prepared is a much better way to go. So my name was added to the schedule for next Thursday July 24..Not sure of the time yet but early morning I will be heading to the hospital to meet my new son..And not a day to early...If you didn't know my birthday is Wednesday July 23...The exit was closed that day so Thursday is a good day, LOL..

I'm still not quite sure how I feel. Of course I am excited to get this pregnancy over with, but I'm nervous, scared, happy, excited, any number of emotions I could be at this moment. Nervous about an easy delivery, scared to be a mom again to a newborn, happy to being finally meeting this awesome little guy and of course excited to see my 2 little girls with their new little brother..So in 10 days little guy will be here..

July 8, 2008

great friends

Do you see that? Someone went all the way to South Carolina and wrote my name in the sand. This someone must be something special. I personally think she is tops! She asked what I wanted and I told her I really wanted to go on vacation with her, and this was her way of bringing me there. How great is she? You should go and tell her how awesome she really is, because I don't think she realizes it..Thanks Lindsey. This just proves how awesome blogging really is, because I love you and so happy we are great friends.

On another topic. Baby is okay. Went to the dr today and he is moving like crazy..back to normal. His estimated weight is 6 lbs 5 oz...thats more than Hannah and almost as much as Alanna when they were born..I still have 3 1/2 weeks to go. She said she would not induce me if there is no medical reason still..Yay for that. I don;t go back to the dr again until Friday.

July 7, 2008

another visit, another day

Our holiday weekend was fun. We had BBQ and spent time with family. The girls played outside for most of the weekend. The weather was one of the most beautiful weekends I think Michigan has ever had in July. There was no humidity and the temps were about 79-80...perfect. My hubby was very busy too. He scrubbed our front deck and stained it. The results are gorgeous. He sure did put a lot of sweat into it this weekend. He also finished painting the shutters and finally hung the porch light after 2 years of living here.. Me? Well I did some minor cleaning here and there, not much and mostly supervised the projects, LOL. I don't think Chris enjoyed my supervising skills, as much as I did, but it all worked out.

Today I had yet another dr appt. I gained 5 pounds since Wednesday, I guess I had one to many scoops of potato salad and maybe that extra helping of apple pie didn't help, but my blood pressure was okay, so dr wasn't to upset. She was concerned though because baby wasn't moving up to par and she ordered a fetal watch ultrasound. This is where the tech will watch the baby for 30 minutes and then score the movements out of 8...He got a 6. I was allowed to go home only after promising to come back tomorrow for another fetal watch ultrasound..I also had to promise to go home and do a kick count. That is where I lay down for an hour and count the number of kicks I have...I must have at least 10 or I have to go to the hospital for more advanced tests..Geez, could this kid give me any more scares before he is born? This better not be any indication of the years to come with this baby...:)
I started my kick count at 6:15 when I started this post and it is now 6:27 and I have 6 counts..I'm sure there is nothing to be worried about...Maybe he was just having a lazy day this afternoon...After all, that gorgeous weather we had over the weekend is gone and it is now 90 and humid...so a nap in the nice and cool belly doesn't sound so bad after all, LOL.

More to come tomorrow

July 4, 2008

lets play catch up.

I know I haven't done much on updating on whats been going on the last couple of days. Even though the dr let me off strict bed rest, I've still been trying to rest as much as possible. I do not want to be put back on bed rest :)

Monday, I went to the dr and things were good. The dr was pleased that my blood pressure was down and told me I only had to come on Wednesday due to the holiday weekend to get a check up. She also wanted another ultrasound to check to see if baby was still breached so if anything happened over the weekend I could go to the hospital and tell them that on Wednesday the baby was breached. Alanna didn't get a nap due to the neighbor mowing the lawn and so this is how she was at dinner time.

On Tuesday, we rested some more. If I remember right it was a little cool and we all just hung out inside. Alanna found a "pirate" hat and was trying her hardest to impersonate the backyardagins pirate show. It was cute, I wish you all could have been here to see that. Another awesome thing Alanna did on Tuesday, she was playing in her diaper, because its the best to be in...Anyways I told her to stop growing because she was getting so tall..She then started dancing on her tip toes and said, help mommy I gowing. It was adorable. I just love what she is coming up with lately. Anyways I think that happened on Tuesday.

Wednesday I went back to the drs and had an ultrasound. GUESS WHAT? Baby turned. He is now head down and hopefully will not turn again. My blood pressure is still down and was the lowest it had ever been. I also lost a pound. The dr was so happy with me, she was grinning from ear to ear. Baby is about 5 1/2 - 6 pounds and has LOTS of hair floating around she said. Thats no surprise since both the girls like I said before had tons of hair. My ultrasound tech is awesome and she took her time and stayed on his profile for a few minutes so we could see what baby was doing. He was yawning a lot...His little mouth would open and close every few seconds and he was so relaxed. What an angel...I am already so in love. The dr said since the baby turned and my blood pressure is down there is no medical reason to induce so she will let me go until I deliver if all stays good. I am so happy with that.

Thursday, Chris, I and my MIL took the girls to the lake to see the fireworks. It was a great time. A little chilly for July, okay lots chilly, we had sweat shirts and blankets and were still a little cold. But it was all worth it. It actually was the 1st time Alanna seen fireworks. When she was 6 months old she was sleeping, We didn't make it when she was 18 months old, she was sleeping at Disney World* and then it was this year...She had a blast. She was ohhhing and ahhhing..telling us all the colors and waiting for the booms and she would tighten with the excitement. She was loving it. The finale really got her and she was grinning from ear to ear. She didn't want to leave. At 11:00 the girls were passed out in the backseat.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY
Please enjoy your holiday and be safe.

*And for the record, it was so hard to enjoy firewroks after seeing the fireworks show at Disney. If you can I recommend going to Disney JUST for the fireworks....AWESOME..Its worth a lifetime...

35 weeks and still cooking

Kisses to you dr
GOOD NEWS!
I am no longer on "strict" bed rest, and have been bumped down to "limited" bed rest. Which in our world means no heavy cooking (whats that?), no cleaning (oh darn), and no shopping (WHAT?!). I have to take it easy and not a whole lot of "ups and downs" she said. However she must not know my world with an 8 year old and a 2 1/2 year old. She said that she would give me a couple of days up as long as I promise to take it easy and that she would know if I did because my blood pressure would be back up and I would be back on strict bed rest...So I promised I would take it easy.

I do have to go back on Wednesday for another ultrasound to see if Baby is still breached. The dr and I talked for a long time today discussing the breach position. I never knew of all the health risks that were involved with a breached baby. I always thought head up, no big deal..But she explained that sometimes the baby is head up because the cord is to short and he couldn't turn, she also explained the risks with turning the baby and delivering vaginally. She said with her patients she is here for a healthy baby and will not deliver a breached baby vaginally. She said only a c section..She went on the say that the baby could turn up until the day of delivery however if he hasn't turned by 37-38 weeks most likely he won't and she would schedule a c section. She also said that with a breach baby you do not want to go into labor because if the water breaks its usually preparing to deliver a head 1st baby however with a breach baby there could be serious complications with the cord...So if my blood pressure stays down, baby will still be here in about 2 weeks do to him being breached...Unless he has turned. She said she would not induce a normal vaginal delivery either if he stays breached..At first the thought of a c section was little of a disappointment to me, but the more I thought about, I became okay with the thought of possibly having the surgery..I just want my boy to be healthy and the dr is right..Why risk it?

Casa De Couchland

Not much to report from Casa De Couch land, except I went to the dr today and my blood pressure is the best that it has ever been. I hate to say it, but maybe sitting on my butt all day long is sort of worth it. The dr was VERY pleased with me, and said that I could even maybe go to the 4th of July BBQ at my inlaws next weekend, if I was good through out the week. So there is a goal in sight.

Baby would not comply with the monitoring today and it was so amusing. He had the hiccups, poor little guy. Every time he would hiccup we would lose his heartbeat. It ended up not registering one time on the monitor. The dr wasn't to upset about it because hello, I been there 2 times already this week and will be back again on Monday. She said she would let him slide today, LOL.

The girls have been very amusing the last couple of days. Alanna is so taking advantage of me not being able to get up and down and will push it to the limit every time. Boy is she in for it when she realizes that I actually can get up in a few short weeks :)

Hannah has been staying around the house a lot, instead of playing outside. I think she is really worried about her mom and little brother. I keep telling her she can go outside, but there is always another excuse to stay close. Sweet angel that she is. She goes to the drs with me everyday and makes sure to be the one to tell the dr if I was up and not resting...Sweet little devil that she is :)

Chris is really enjoying me resting too. He has been so sweet (sort of) with my demands and OCD cleanness of the house. I keep telling him I have all day to scan the kitchen floor

from the couch, and I just store the marks away until he gets home so he can clean them up..Here is him and Alanna last night when I finally admitted I needed nothing else. Poor guy, not really, LOL.

Well, I about used up my time on the computer today. Until Mnday and the next dr report...Have a great weekend.

June 25, 2008

belly shots and more

My pregnancy induced hypertension is now full fledged toxemia. Not really sure of the difference, but you can read about them here and here. I now officially go to the dr 3 days a week, because 1 and 2 were not enough. I have a non fetal stress test each of those days. This is a test that I lay on the table with my feet up and have 2 belts on my stomach, one to measure contractions, and the other to hear the heartbeat, and then I have to push a button, every time the baby moves. This way the dr can monitor the heartbeat and movement and if I have any contractions..so far none of those. My carefree summer plans now consist of couch time and bathroom breaks, with a dr visit thrown in for fun. My blood pressure is high and I still have protein in my urine. However the good news is all my blood work came back okay so for now its just bed rest and not a night in the hospital.
I also had an ultrasound today and baby boy is doing great. He is measuring exactly as he should be 34 weeks and 1 day at 5 pounds, 1 oz. His heart is good as is his other vital organs. He also has some hair floating around in the fluid. That doesn't surprise me mush both his sisters could have let the hospital wearing barrettes to hold the hair away from their eyes :)

I also got permission to be on the home computer as long as I take it easy the rest of the day, which, with sitting on the couch, will not be that hard to do.
I believe that the pregnant belly is beautiful but the badges of courage (stretch marks) I sure could do without. These are compliments of my dear 1st born child Hannah.

And of course the rest are here..

Oh I forgot to tell you...Baby is breached. His head is up top and his butt is down...Hopefully he will turn soon. I have some really nifty, sort of scary exercises to do to help him turn.

June 24, 2008

the blues

Well day 2 of bed rest has brought on the blues. I think I'm starting to feel sorry for myself, because I can't do anything myself. I can't even fix dinner or give Alanna a bath..that was our time, you know. I know this is safety for my unborn baby and in the long run it will all be okay, I'm just not having a good day. I've been extremely tired today and took 2 naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Now its almost dinner time and I am seriously ready for bed. I go for a dr visit tomorrow and an ultrasound, hopefully I will have good news to report and that my blood pressure is down.

I have some pictures to upload soon, but I have to 1st be allowed on the house computer and right now all I can use is the lap top, and its Chris' work computer, so pictures coming soon, hopefully. Hannah took some cute ones of Alanna and my belly.

June 23, 2008

bedrest and lots of fun

So I went to the dr on Friday and she wasn't happy with me and it turned into a not so good visit. I don't really know how to explain it, but she told me to REST.REST.REST or I would be on bedrest. She sent me for some blood work and told me to come back on Monday, today.

This morning at 9:00 am I walked into the dr office and had a similar visit. My blood pressure was up and she still wasn't happy with what was happening. She told me that if I was 37 weeks and not 34 weeks, that I would be in the hospital being induced, but since I am not I was to be on strict bedrest until further notice. So today I am on the couch with the warden (my MIL) who will practically follow me to the bathroom to make sure I am doing nothing stressful. She is doing a great job of helping with the girls and making sure I am okay. Its so hard to just sit here watching someone take care of my house when I fell fine.

As I sit here, Hannah is on the couch and Alanna is playing with toys, its so hard to not be on the floor playing or to take the girls outside to play. Hopefully tomorrow the girls will get a chance to get outside to play and I will be here praying the baby gets to stay in my belly another day longer to grow. The dr has said that I will not be going to my due date, and to expect baby boy in about 3 weeks, if things do not change.

I have to go back to the dr on Wednesday for an ultrasound and then again on Friday, so if you are following along, thats 3 days this week at the dr office for baby boy. I am only allowed to drive back and forth to the drs and thats it..No cooking, no cleaning, I can't even give my own kids baths..Dr orders. There will never be enough thankyous for my mother in law who is taking time away from her life to be here with us to help out, I guess I'm one lucky gal dispute the problems.

I am not all new to this. The same time 34 weeks, with Hannah I was put on bedrest too. I was there for 3 1/2 weeks and then the tiny 5 pounds 15.9 oz, little girl blessed my life...So in the end, all the stress, and rest is really worth it.

Enjoyment

I'm still trying to adjust to being a SAHM to the girls. Yesterday marked the 1 week mark. It was one thing to have the weekends with them, but everyday is something new. There is really one word that comes to mind when trying to sum it up and thats enjoyment. I love waking up to Alanna crawling in bed with me and ever so gently rubbing my face to wake me as I used to do her in the mornings. I love the laziness of fixing breakfast when the girls get hungry, and the laziness of cleaning the house and not having to rush to get everything done in the 2 days I was allowed when off for the weekends..I love being here every moment and seeing what is going on in my children's life and not having to have their day recited back to me by the babysitter.

Sure times are rough and Hannah argues and Alanna has a meltdown, but the joy of it, is that its me here to handle the situation and not the babysitter calling me at work to handle Hannahs attitude problem or asking if Alanna can do something...Its me here to be the shoulder to cry on or to kiss the boo boos, its me their mother here to handle the day, and I think the girls are enjoying that...Actually I know they are. We have laughed and played and giggled and cuddled more in this past week, than I think we have in months, and its all back to the same 1 word enjoyment. I enjoy my kids, and I'm enjoying being a mom again...
There was a point where I couldn't wait to be not pregnant anymore, or I couldn't wait until winter got back around so I didn't have to sit outside and watch the girls play, because I was so tired all I could think about was sleeping or sitting and being lazy. Now, well now I love being pregnant and can't even tell you how many more days I have to go, now I get up early in the morning to take the girls to the park, now I am the one getting the girls motivated to go outside and have fun..Now I enjoy spending time with the them.

June 16, 2008

The 8 month pregancy post, about a week late.

33 weeks pregnant means: That I have 7 weeks left, and that I am growing out of my maternity clothes. Loving me some yoga capris right now...Maybe I need more than 1 pair though.

When you're 33 weeks pregnant, your baby measures about 12 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 4.4 pounds. In another magazine I read it said baby was about 17 inches and about 5 pounds, so I guess it depends on the information you're reading. Throughout the next few weeks, your baby will gain more than half of his or her birth weight. Your baby will also move less now as he or she runs out of room.

Your baby is practicing breathing by inhaling amniotic fluid to exercise his or her lungs.

Some babies have full heads of hair by now; others have only a bit of fuzz.

Your baby has a normal waking and sleeping pattern. Many times, your movement throughout the day will lull him or her to sleep; while you are inactive at night, it is a chance for him or her to be awake and active.

When your baby is sleeping (which is most of the time) he or she may experience the rapid eye movement (REM) stage, which is the dreaming period of sleep.

Your baby can listen, feel, and see.

The pupils of the eye can detect light and constrict and dilate.

Your baby's lungs are almost completely matured.

Fat will continue to be deposited on your baby's body for protection and warmth.

Your baby's skin color turns from red to pink.

Symptoms of late pregnancy you may be experiencing when 33 weeks pregnant include:
Excessive tiredness
Braxton Hicks contractions
Pelvic aches (from the pressure of your baby).
(Oh yeah, I have all the above)

You may also be noticing that you have strangely vivid dreams during this period of pregnancy (This too, I keep dreaming that no matter how much I shave my legs, they are constantly hairy for delivery and its gross...I shave and shave and shave and there is ALWAYS hair on them)

a good visit

I went to the weekly doctor visit today. She was very impressed with me. She said I didn't look tired and that my blood pressure was very good. I also lost 1 pound which she said was good and probably the extra water that made me swell last week. So over all it was a good visit. Baby was good however he didn't move as much as he usually did, but that was okay I got a sucker out of it to wake him up a little and it worked...

After the dr visit I took Hannah to the store and she picked out a "binks" for baby. Each one of the kids has had a special blanket and Hannah wanted to be the one to buy her brothers...She was very careful and picked the perfect blanket. Now we have a great story to share with baby.

Chris finally finished the painting in the nursery. Its AWESOME! I love the color and everything that goes with it. It rained all day today so I put all the furniture together and clothes in the dresser...with help from the girls of course. The room is all done and now we are just missing the little man coming soon. Monday will be 33 weeks...With all the excitement of leaving work, I forgot about my 8 month post..I will do it on Monday.

June 9, 2008

"You look Tired", she says

The strange thing about having pregnancy induced hypertension (high blood pressure) is that you feel normal, you look normal and if you didn't have your doctors constant nagging for you to take it easy, you would probably forget that you have an actual diagnosis. Well in my case, I forgot. An guess what I got for forgetting?
Friday I had my weekly dr visit. It started off normal. I did the weight thing (13lbs. and only 8 weeks to go, YAY me!) and the urine thing (it was normal) and the blood pressure thing (not so normal). I went into my room, got hooked up to the monitor (2 straps around my belly, one for the contractions, and one for the heart beat. Then every time the baby moves you click a button). No contractions (yet), and a good heat beat (thank god), and plenty of movement (yay).
About 20 minutes later my dr comes in and says right off the bat "You look tired". I do not take offense to this, because my dr has been my dr for almost 10 years, she was my mothers dr, several close friends dr, and their mothers dr, she has this sweet quality about her, that even when she states the obvious, shes so nice about it. I respond with a yes, I am tired...as I am thinking in my head you try having 2 kids, a full time job, a husband and being pregnant in 90 degree weather..You would look tired too. She looks at the info coming from the monitor and shakes her head. She then looks at me, and down to my ankles, and feet. Back up to me. She smiles and looks in the chart. The room is silent, which is odd for her office and I just stare at her facial expressions. Her eyebrows raise up and down, up and down. She looks back at me, back at my file. "So she says, Hannah is out of school for the summer?" "Yes, today was her last day." I reply. "Hmmmm", she replies. "How would you like to be home for the summer? I need you to take it easy", she says. "I would love to be home for the summer, what are you saying?" I'm saying, that I am requesting you on medical leave effective today, and you must promise to take it easy or you will end up on bed rest." I let the info soak in for a minute. This is getting serious..I still have 2 months, that's 8 weeks to go. I have joked I would love to be off for the summer, but never actually thought this early. I nod... I ask for a couple of days to work to tie of lose ends...She says only if I take it easy.
I leave her office in a daze, I'm nervous to be off of work this early and nervous for my baby, but excited to start this new adventure of being a stay at home mom, at least for the summer and a few months after that.

every week

From my point of view 31 weeks pregnant
My visiting the doctor every 2 weeks turned into every week on last Saturdays visit. Everything is okay, but since I had so many medical problems with Hannah, she wants to be cautious and wants to see me every week now. I really enjoy going to the dr and listening the babys heartbeat, but every week is sort of annoying..I only have the weekends to get things done like cleaning and errands, so every week is dort of hard. But In order to have this baby and his mommy be nice and healthy I will go every week. Its not that bad 20 mintues to sit back and relaxe..How hard can that be?

Info you could probably live without.

Hey good news,
Sometime between now and week 40 of pregnancy, if you are having a baby boy, his testes will completely descend into the scrotum.

At least now we know.

Lindseys creations

Lindsey came over yesterday and worked so hard for me and baby boy, that I have no idea how ever to repay her. She is a true friend and I am so honored to have met her.

Its funny in a way because without blogging we would have never met and as we talked we would mention little things about other bloggers we both enjoy and read and how we wished we all could meet up and how fun it would be. Maybe some vacations should be in the works...

Here are some pictures of the comforter and curtain Lindsey made. We are keeping a twin bed in the babys room so we needed coordinating fabric. I love it. Enjoy!

Chris and I still have a lot to do for the babys room, like paint and organize. In the next couple of weeks we will be super busy. Only 9 more weeks to go. And if this baby ios like the girls it will be more like 6 or 7 weeks to go...
