random

Today will be random blog day since I don;t have enough to say about 1 topic

~We got washed out of our plans for the weekend. We were supposed to go to the zoo but with the after affects of all the hurricanes it rained all weekend. We plan on trying again this Saturday.

~Alanna is potty trained. I am confident enough to leave the house without an extra outfit every time, therefore I classify this as DONE! Now we are working on nap time and bedtime, but I am not as worried about those as daytime.

~Ben is sleeping around 8-9 hours at night. I have not needed a nap at all last week. Once I was up and downed about 5-6 cups of coffee I have been up to stay.

~Oh yeah, I have become a major coffee drinker in the past week. Before I thought I was young enough to not need coffee, and now I have come to realize after marriage and 3 kids, I'm not that young anymore.

~I am having such a problem with Hannah and her attitude. I actually broke down and cried the other night because she acts like she hates me so much and she is only 8. I am so afraid I will have one of those kids at the age of 13 who is featured on a talk show yelling how I messed up her life. I am at a loss with what to do.

~I have officially resigned from work today. I can now say out loud that I am living my dream job as a stay at home mom to my kiddies. YAY!

~Don;t forget I am still open for suggestions on the vlogging. An introduction will be coming this week.

    Yay Alanna!!!

And ahhh...Hannah. I know EXACTLY what you are going through. I wish I had some advice for you. Just try to talk to her in a way that makes her feel like an adult and not a kid. Tell her you love her, you understand, and when you can be sure to ask her opinion on things. Ask her what she thinks about Alanna or Ben...or something "grown up." She doesn't hate you Tasha, I promise! Maybe now that you are a stay-at-home mom you should try to line up a sitter for Allana and Ben one day and get Hannah out of school (she'll be okay missing one afternoon) and take her shopping or out to lunch -- just some quiet mom & me time. She'll love this and she'll feel like one of the adults! More than that, she'll see that she's just as important as the babies in the household!

One day at a time...it's all you can do. (And then when Hannah is through this stage -- Allana will be there! haha You can do this!)

  2. It is most definitely the age with Hannah - she does not hate you!! I had quite the mouth on me when I was younger...I have NO idea how my Mom kept from slapping me a few times. Tan had some good advice & she should probably know! :-)

Congrats on the stay at home Mom. I was wondering...
