Gnomeo and Juliet

Now here is a movie I CANNOT wait to see.  Gnomeo & Juliet.  The release date is February 11, 2011 and we will certainly be in line for the fun!  Here is a little snippet:

Madeline's Great Adventures

Some of my favorite books growing up were the Madeline series.  She is a spunky and fun girl.  She always made me use my imagination and I found adventure in her books.  Now the fun times are coming to the big screen.  In Madeline's Great Adventures there are 6 thrilling adventure to go on.  Go with Madeline as she gets a visit from a prince, and encounters a band of pirates. 

When I asked Alanna if she would like to go on an adventure she was excited.  She watched Madeline over and over for days.  She would talk about Miss Clavel's class and also the fun loving Genevieve, Madeline's trusted dog companion.

Madeline's Great Adventures are released today June 29, and would make a great gift for any child looking for fun.

Guess whos back/Giveaway

Do you ever sit with your friends and remember the times when you were younger?  My friends and I like to talk about the "old" toys we used to play with.  My favorite toys to buy my children are toys that I used to have when I was younger.  One of my favorite dolls was Rainbow Brite.  I loved all the colors and the fun names all her friends had.

Giveaway time!

As soon as I found out the gender of each of the kids, I went online and ordered the bedding I was drooling over since the day I found out I was pregnant. The baby room was an important thing to me. Having a special place to bring the baby home to. Something that they could call their own. Even before the baby was born I would sit in the nursery and just think about the little one bouncing away inside my belly. Everything had to be perfect.

A Christmas giveaway

It used to be the ole' family joke that I could not boil water, I was so bad at cooking. It wasn't that I was bad (in my eyes) it was that I had very few recipes I knew how to cook so we were on repeat mode week after week. The Mess Free Pet

Having 3 kids and a husband and a cat has our house a little loud and crazy at times. The TV seems to be a constant buzz in the background as is Hannah playing, Alanna singing and Ben giggling. Quiet moments are rare, and usually while everyone is sleeping, including me.

Chris and the kids are always asking for more. They want more pets. Alanna wants fish, Chris and Hannah want a dog, and Ben would probably be happy with a dog too. I on the other hand DO NOT want more pets right now. Its not that I am not a pet lover, because I am, but I am a busy mom and just don;t have the time to dedicate to an animal right now. I would be the walker, the lover, the trainer and the pooper scooper.

When I got the opportunity to review the new Zhu Zhu pets, I was VERY excited. A pet hamster to please the girls with none of the responsibility. The package was waiting for us when we got back from "Up North" and the girls COULD NOT wait for me to put together the new Hamster City.

The hamsters come with names and Hannah chose Mr. Squibbles, light brown cute as a button (top), Alanna chose Chunk, who has wide cheeks and a big belly (white, 3rd down). These cute little pets have such a realistic look that one day I caught myself laying on the couch holding one, and petting him like he was real. The 2 hamsters came with a hamster ball and when placed in the ball it looks like a real hamster rolling across the floor. Our cat Abby doesn't seem to like them too much, but Ben and the girls had a blast chasing the ball through the kitchen.

The girls have played with their new pets everyday and soon we will be adding the clothes and sleeping beds to our Hamster City. Zhu Zhu Pets are certainly a pet we love to have in our house, and makes for a happy mommy with the no mess play area.

I know I said Monday, and today is Tuesday and the day is practically over, but I finally have the winners to announce.

I'm reading a new book, which always takes me away from blogging for a few days, and the kids and I have been enjoying the "cooler" weather, playing outside and planning for our big camping weekend. (I know I just got back from up north and now we are going camping). Its probably our last "vacation" for the summer so we are trying to make it fun.

Hannah Montana, The Movie

Having a tween in my house definitely keeps me up to date on whats cool and whats not. I never thought I would be the type of person to be out of the loop, but I get informed on a daily basis I am.

When the opportunity came to review Hannah Montana, The movie, I was informed that if I didn't get the movie, a certain 9 year olds life would be over, and if I did get the movie I would be the coolest.mom.in.the.entire.world!

So I got it and I am....Cool, not out to date so much anymore.

Miley/Hannah is skating on thin ice with her father. He is none to pleased about the way his daughter is acting, and he is sent over the edge when Miley misses the goodbye to her brother who is leaving for college, and when pulls the inner diva and has a cat fight in a high end fashion store with the paparazzi pictures to prove it, and then again when Hannah crashes her best friends sweet 16 birthday party, her dad has had enough. He decides it is time to take the Hannah out of Miley, and introduce Miley back to her country roots.

Miley has a hard time readjusting to country life, but she soon learns there is more than fashion, and fame. Then just as Miley is starting to understand it all, Hannah is unexpectedly brought back when the town has trouble raising enough money to pay taxes on a piece of land.

Hannah comes to the rescue, or is it the town that is rescuing Hannah.

Hannah Montana is certainly a favorite in our house, the TV show is on everyday, and the posters hang on the the bedroom walls. The shirts are worn and the songs are playing. This was a movie I sat down to watch with my 2 girls, knowing they would love it, but was totally shocked to realize that I myself enjoyed it and then we watched it again.

Does all this sound familiar. If it doesn't then you're missing out on one of the funniest movies out there. How to Lose a Guy in 10 days. It stars 2 of my favorite actors, Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.

Andy Anderson (Hudson) works for a trendy magazine company and takes on an article about losing a guy in 10 days, the do's and don'ts. Benjamin Barry (McConaughey)who works for an advertising agency takes on a bet that he can make any woman fall in love with him in 10 days. Neither one knows the other until they meet in a bar and the "game" begins. Does she really lose him in 10 days? Is it possible to love him in 10 days, these two really make the next 10 days an exciting adventure.

This movie was released a couple of years ago, but is being re-released on Blue Ray and DVD as a Deluxe Edition with special features such as deleted scenes, a music video by Keith Urban, director commentary, and much more.
