Please HELP! Whats in a name, with a prize!

With all this creativity going on, I might have the opportunity to open an online store.  I need help though.  My mind is racing coming up with new items to make that I can't focus on a good name.  Things that I might be selling are

tutus
felt watches
lanyard keychains
tie blankets and pillows
tag blankets
baby shower baskets
bandana dresses
ties for little boys
Bow holders

So come up with a good name and you might just win a really cool lanyard keychain...Your pick

Pink w/ white polka dots/reverse side is pink with white strips
Brown w/ multi colored polka dots/reverse side is multi colored stripes
Brown w/ lt pink, pink, and green stripes/reverse is green with brown dots
Lime green w/ white polka dots/reverse is lime green w/ white stripes

 So think Loooonnngggg and think Haaaaarrrrrrdddd and come up with the right name and one of these could be yours. 

Bleach shirts

I found a really neat thing to do with bleach and T shirts here. When I was at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago they had the T Shirts 50% off so I picked some up for the kids.  I printed some designs from the computer just to regular paper.  I cut it out with an exacto knife.  Pinned it to the shirt.  In a spray bottle I put pure bleach.  I then misted the bleach above the shirt a few times and removed the stencil.  One thing I learned though is you have to be careful with the pins.  Some bleach got through the pin holes and made spots on the graphics..Minor, but if you are a perfectionist it may bother you...It doesn't bother me or the kids.  Also the back of Alanna's sort of bled through and she has some bleach spots on the back of her shirt, I think that I am going to mist bleach all the shirts on the back to make them look more even.  This project took maybe 10 minutes with printing all the paper to hanging up to dry.  It was so easy and fun...Now the kids have new shirts that are custom and only for them.  Hannah already has friends lined up for shirts of their own. 

I made this necklace from scratch.  I seen the necklace featured here and then her sister sold the necklace kit here.  I bought it and cut the chain up and went to work.  I love the colors I chose.  The gunmeatal chain gives it a hard feeling and the bows soften it up.  Its my new fav necklace and I made it..

KEYCHAINS...Love this idea and its so simple..I took some ribbon and measured it to the length I wanted. Glued and stitched 2 ribbons together so it would be right side out on both sides.  Then I folded it together and stitched again.  Wrapped some coordinating ribbon around my stitches on the fold and glued it down.  There ya go a new keychain.  I was thinking about selling these in an etsy shop along with korker clips, tie blankets, tutu's, felt watches and some other things.  Would anyone be interested?

burp cloths and hair clips

Babies.Babies.Babies.
They are everywhere, we had a baby born 2 months ago to friends, my cousin had a baby last week, more friends had a baby 2 days ago and another friend is due next month.  With all these babies coming, it has kept me busy trying to be creative and make them all something from my heart!

I came up with this really cute REALLY easy burp cloth (in the picture all the burp cloths are the same size, in the picture, they look different sizes).  I just bought some knit fabric and cut them 12in by 12in and sewed the wrong side out.  I left a little hole to turn it right side out and then stitched by hand to complete.  Its print on one side and black on the other and its modern, not your average pink and purple for a baby girl.  I am giving 2 new babies this sweet gift along with some ever so cute clips.

The green and white bows are for my girls for St Patty's Day..But the pink and black bows are for the new babies.  Each baby will get a big bow attached to a black crochet headband and 2 small clippies.  Just something small to show each new baby we care! 

For the next baby in April, I have a special surprise.  I will show you when I am done with it.

Finally something made for Ben

I seen this little boys felt watch on Etsy for $16.25 and said to my self, SELF I am NOT paying that much money for a felt watch, so I made one...and it only cost me $2.75 and I could make probably 5 more with my supplies.  I sewed it all by hand.  Alanna likes it so much she wants one that is pink and purple.  (stay tuned for that one) (maybe I will even share how I made it).  I put it on Ben and he LOVED sporting his new cool bracelet. 

This was another of my craft projects crossed off the list.

In the past week I have bookmarked over 100 craft projects that I would like to do.  100.  Yes I know this is alot, but I have decided that I have sat around long enough watching TV and doing nothing.  These are projects that I can sit around and watch TV and sew, or craft, or a no sew craft project.  Either way, I will be productive without doing much...thats the best way isn't it? 

My first project was completed today.  I made a simple ruffle scarf that I found here. I made one for me, one for Hannah, one for Alanna and one for my friend Shelby...she lives across the street and was kind enough to say she loved the first orange scarf I made, with all its flaws, so its hers now :)

I didn't get a picture of Hannah's because she is rollar skating AGAIN.  Her pink scarf is sitting on the table waiting for her to get home. 

All these scarfs were made from Tshirts I found in the closets that either haven't been worn in FOREVER or were just to small.

tutu cute!

Here is Alanna modeling the new tutu made her. Yes she was standing on the bathroom counter, and yes you can see my birth control in the background and yes I know its all very dangerous (the standing on the counter NOT the birth control, that is a blessing, LOL). I am so happy how the tutu turned out. I was thinking about trying to sell them. I'm even making one for my neighbor (an adult). She dresses up for work and I am making her a black and orange tutu and she is going to be a witch. I will post pictures when that is done.

I added ribbon to the tutu and thinks it makes a great touch. I love how the ribbon hangs longer than the tutu

Sew Simple

Wondering where I've been? I've been busy making my girls some mommy magic. I've been wanting to make the girls something special from me, since I made Ben is fun chew toy. Well I got some really cute summer fabric and I made each girl a purse, just the right size for them.
