weekend round up

I am alive! I have so much to talk about. 1st my party was awesome. I had so much fun. We did have some problems with people backing out and I had to put in some more money than expected, but it was all worth it. The limo people gave us some problems too, but they made up for it with a free upgrade to a stretch hummer. We were riding in style. No pictures of the out side because it was dark, but pleanty of pictures to come soon. The night started out with a Pure Romance party, and then the hummer picked us up around 10. We went to 3 different bars and then had our own party in the hummer between places. everyone had a great time. Pictures to come soon...Check back for it, you won't be disapointed.

2nd on the list to talk about is Alanna is sick...Poor baby. She has had a fever for 2 days now and its been at 101.5. My mom and stepdad took her and Hannah to a hotel to swim on Saturday and they had a blast. Sunday Alanna woke up not feeling to well. When she came home she was burning up and I took her temp. Chris and I decided to take her to an urgent care center and she has an ear infection, and her throat is really red.which means it probably hurts her really bad. The dr gave us some medicine and told us to alternate between infants motrin and infant tylenol. She woke up this morning with a fever still so day 2 begins of operation sick baby. I feel like a bad momma because I am at work, but I have called and checked on her 100 times (no joke) and she is doing okay. Chris will be up this afternoon to take over so she will only be with our AWESOME babysitter for half the day. Yes our babysitter/nany is the best. When she came over this morning Alanna just laid in her arms. I do feel happy to have her and that is one of the reasons I went to work...the others being a big event at the end of this month that may or may not be taking all my sick days and money...Again I do feel confident in out nanny and I know she will and does take good care of the girls.

3rd on my list to talk about...HELLO its April 2. YES April 2, that means the wedding is in 26 days....all together now SCREAM...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

weekend round up

• Nanny C started today. Things seem to have went really well. Alanna didn't get a nap today, but I think she is teething the dreaded molars and she was also excited because of Nanny C. Alanna didn't really seem that crabby but she did go to bed a little early tonight. Poor baby her gums are so swollen with bulges in her mouth.

• I am still really happy with our decison to have Nanny C in our home then taking the girls out to someone else.

• I bought my veil over the weekend, but I have a question. Is Chris allowed to see my veil? I never thought about it. Its not my dress and it is no indication of what my dress looks like. I showed it to him....I put it on and started the wedding march in the kitchen. I didn't show him my tiara or anything else. Just the veil. Mainly because its hanging in the closet so it doesn't wrinkle. Oh well if I am not supposed to.

• My mom got her dress today. She is so beautiful. It looks like this. In peridot green. She looks so nice I can't wait to see her all put together on the big day.

• I picked out the material for Alanna's dress for the wedding. My mom is gonna make it for her. It cost about half what it would have from Davids Bridal. Then we found the same dress at another store for a few $$$ less than we bought the material for. Its okay though because the dress my mom makes will be fit to her and we won;t have to worry about alterations or anything like that.

• I can't believe the wedding is in 2 months and 1 day....Ya'll did you hear me? 2 months and 1 day. I'm so nervous! Counseling went okay on Saturday. Chris and I actually got into a fight on the way there and so we worked through that in the session. It was really a great thing, and I learned alot. I'm happy with it so far.

weekend review

I am slowly dealing with my ticket...The courthouse is closed today so I still don't know how much I owe, so that is killing me with suspense.

Chris had our 1st session of pre marital counseling. It went fine. he basically went over what we will be covering in the next 5 sessions. I will keep you posted. The nest session is this Saturday.

Nanny C came over to play with the girls last night. I asked her to come over last night so the girls could get familar with her. Hannah is pretty easy, I am more worried about Alanna adjusting to a new person. last night she seemed fine. She would wave and smile and take her some toys. Nanny C stayed about an hour and I think it went pretty well. She will come over again on Saturday before she starts on Monday. Nanny C seemed a little less nervous yesterday...she actually would start a conversation. I really like her and happy she accepted the job. i hope she stays around for a while.

So did you all hear about the infamous hair cut that happened over the weekend? That poor girl...I really think she needs some help. Happy to hear her momma flew in to see/help her.

I had a night out with the girls on Saturday night. it was Sarah, my maid of honors birthday. She picked a bar and we all met up there. It was fun we played pool, darts and just hung out with each other. its nice too get out. Some new pics up here...go check it out. Plus there are some cute, cute pics of Alanna. She crawled into one of Hannah's doll strollers and thought it was the funniest thing ever.

YAY for me, we hired Nanny C

Well the search is over and I feel very confident in our decision. Her name is Nanny C for privacy unless she somehow discovers me online then all bets are off. She will start in 2 weeks and that will be the true test of time. The girls took to her right away and she was NORMAL. Normal people do you know what that feels like to interview a normal person. I feel relieved, happy and confident in her taking care of my children. It was sure a long road to come to this pint. Let me tell you about my weekend. I had interviews every hour on the hour for the most part. Saturday times went like this 10:00-5:30 and Sunday started at 10:00-6:00. I had no free time over the weekend except at night.

Saturday:

• 10:00-Hannah said the woman scared her....Not to be mean but she did look a little weird
• 11:00-NO SHOW
• 12:00-NO SHOW
• 1:00-NO SHOW, at this point I was highly upset. What is with these people that they can't show or at least call me to cancel. So I called everyone else on the list to confirm their appts.
• 2:00-I really liked this one. She was the 1st normal gal to show up. Except she had a 3 year old and being in my home and Chris sleeping during the day we thought better to go with someone who had no kids.
• 3:00-NO SHOW
• 4:00-NO SHOW
• 4:45-She too was really awesome. She was going to school to be a pediatrician. She is currently getting her pre classes at community. However she just moved out on her own and needed more money than we could afford.
• 5:30-NO SHOW

Sunday

• 10:00-I called and confirmed, and HE was still a NO SHOW
• 11:00-Called and confirmed, NO SHOW
• 12:00-Called and cancelled the night before
• 1:00-Called and confirmed, NO SHOW
• 2:00-Called the night before and cancelled
• 3:00-She showed up but she had some medical problems that we thought might be dangerous for her to be alone with the kids...
• 4:00-Called and cancelled earlier in the morning
• 5:00-Called the night before because she was offered another job
• 6:00-HIRED

Don't you think its kinda pathetic that she was the last one. We actually had 3 calls on the position today, but I am swearing off ever interviewing again, so I told them the position was filled when it really wasn't. I told Chris that if the last one didn't work we would flip a coin to see who gets to quit their job....Luckily it didn't come down to that and we are saved, and not poor because both of us get to keep our jobs. The next hardest part is putting our 2 week notice in at the current daycare. This is hard for me because Hannah has been off and on at this daycare since she was 15 months old. Its just lately we feel as if the girls are not be cared for properly. I know its business and these are my kids we are talking about, but I am not a mean person and am just nervous about the whole situation. Thats is for another day though.
