going to the chapel

A really good friend of mine is getting married soon, in like 3 months. You may know her. Shes starting to get a little nervous, and the other morning it really hit her shes getting married. SHES gonna be someones wife :) I tried telling her to calm down but today's post has her eating, breathing and even exercising wedding..LOL. Shes afraid everyone will get tried of hearing about wedding stuff, like I am afraid of you getting tired of hearing about baby stuff...Stop by and let her know shes not alone in fantasising about wedding stuff, because every woman dreams about her wedding and being the princess we all know we are. Hmmm, I think someone we know just got married a couple of months ago....LOL. Her posts are stating to look like my posts did a year ago. LOL. Anyways shes a great person and I love her blog and I could never get tired of talking wedding...I could still do it all day long. So Lindz, if you need any tips, or ideas, throw them my way!

1 month already...

Just a little over a month ago, my nerves were shot and I had butterflies in my stomach. All the feelings came back to me when Chris and I attended my cousins wedding on Saturday. Her mom (my aunt) was stressed, like my mom, and she was ready to get the show a movin...just like me. My cousin walked down the aisle and looked like a princess. After the ceremony, the reception began and it was beautiful.
I can't believe that Chris and I have already been married a month. I am so happy the wedding is over, but it was nice to share it again with my cousin. Congrats again to the new bride and groom.

Just call me a Mrs..

Okay its offical I am married!! It feels good. I do feel different in a way, and I just want to scream it and have everyone know that I am now married. The wedding was perfect. The ceremony had everyone in tears. We got married in an old victorian home and it was really warm. No one told me or I would have had someone open the windows. But still everything went well. When we walked into the reception hall everything was beautiful. All white on white. White chair covers, white table clothes and napkins and white flower center pieces. It was perfect. Everyone kept coming up to me and telling me what a beautiful place it was and the food was great too. I can;t even begin to tell you how good the food was. My brother Todd even complimented the food and that NEVER happens because he is a chef and is VERY picky. Chris and I danced to our song and the night ended with us at our hotel sweet passed out. Hopefully I will have some pictures very soon to show everyone. Until then I am spending some much needed time with my new hubby..(gosh I like saying that.)

PS the weather was about 72 and SUNNNNNNY!

countdown: 4 days and counting...

Do you believe it? 4 days, 4 days and I will be married. I had a reality check last night. I started thinking that this is the last Tuesday I will have my last name, this is the last Tuesday I can ever say I have never been married, this is the last Tuesday I live my life as I know it...Next tuesday I will be a married woman. Wow, thats kinda a lot to handle. I do feel like I am handleing the situation fine though. I'm not nervous about being married, and I'm not nervous about the wedding. I am nervous about Alanna acting right and being quiet during the ceremony, I am nervous about everything coming together, and I am nervous that I will get a HUGE ZIT the morning of...I have a constant butterfly feeling in my stomach, but that could be from having next week off and I am so excited to have a whole week away from my job, that could be the reson. I have so many emotions going through my mind right now that I can't define each one. All I know is that there is only 4 days left. Oh yeah, the weather says exactly what it needs to be. Check it out.

April 22, 2007

This weekend has been filled with non other than wedding related stress. I am feeling a little better. My sinus' are really bothering me, but mostly in the morning now. Friday I went and bought some hershey kisses to go in our personalized favor bags, and Chris helped fill them. They are so cute. I finished wrapping the bouquets with the white ribbon, and Alanna had her final dress fitting. (my mom is making her dress, its adorable.) Now I am off to my cousins wedding shower because she is getting married in June. Busy, Busy. Oh I checked the forecast. Its says partly sunny with a 10% chance of rain with a high temp of 57. Hopefully it will change to be about 65-70 degress, but I am good with the sun and 10% chance of rain. We will see.

wedding countdown: 8 days

Chris and I went down to the courthouse this morning to apply for the marriage license. At the end they gave us a summary of certain "Michigan marriage laws". Chris thought a few of them were really funny and asked me to share with all of you.
Under R.S. 1846, Chap 83 under SEC.3.
No man shall marry his mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, stepmother, grandfather's wife, son's wife, grandson's wife, wife's mother, wife's grandmother, wife's daughter, wife's granddaughter, nore his sister, brother's daughter, sister's daughter, father's sister, mother's sister, or cousin of the 1st degree or another man.
SEC.4.
No woman shall mary her father, grandfather, son, grandson, stepfather, grandmother's husband, daughter's husband, granddaughter's husband, husband's father, husband's grandfather, husband's son, husband's grandson, nor her brother, brother's son, sister's son, father's brother, mother's brother, or cousin of the 1st degree, or another woman.
The next section is Chris' favorite. He was laughing all the way home over 2 words. (idiot, and imbecile) Guess I can't call Chris an idiot anymore..
SEC.6.
No insane person, idiot, or person who had been afflicted with syphilis or gonorrhea and has nott been cured of the same, shall be capable of contracting marriage. (This section further restricts thre list of those who may intermarry by prohibiting the marriage of feeble-minded, imbeciles, or insane persons who have been confirmed as such in any public institution, without a certificate from two physicans that there is no possibility of transmitting their defects to their offspring.)

Its crazy to think that States actually have to have these listed as laws and there may be people out there who would want to marry their mother or father or anyone else in their family. Well Chris and I got a laugh out if it..hope you did too. Happy Friday.

April 18, 2007

I.AM.SICK! 9 days before my wedding I have a head that feels the size of the Pacific Ocean and the pressure to go along with it. I also have an ear ache (I thought only kids get those, this is my 3rd this year). I am so mad that this has happened. Now I have to try to stay away form the girls so they don't get this because we all know the nightmare that would be. But wait I should be safe because MY girls only get sick on weekdays when I have to work, so I have to use precious vacation days to stay home with them....Maybe.just maybe I am safe for now.

April 17, 2007

I'm slowly coming to terms with the nanny leaving us. I talked to a friend yesterday, and she told me to calm down and we came to the realization that things happen for a reason and maybe she wasn't the right person after all. Even though Chris, I and the girls all really liked her. So maybe the right person will respond to our ad in the paper that starts tomorrow and we will be happy agian. Dispite the fact that the wedding is in LESS.than.2.weeks (final countdown is 10.days) and all the stress I am dealing with, the notice actually came at the best time. Why you ask? Because, I have time off after the wedding for interviews and to get to know the person. Even though I have no weekends left to fit one more task in, its gonna be okay...I hope.

On to other news. I got word that my sister is coming to the wedding. You may think to yourself, sisters are supposed to be at your wedding. But this is not the usual sister you may think about. This is the black sheep, drug user, can't take care of her self sister. The one where you hope the invite was lost so she doesn't remember what day the wedding is on, so she doesn't show up kind of sister. I''m sure nothing bad will happen, because if there happens to be a scene it will make for a good laugh when the bride is sitting in jail for kicking the shit out of her sister.

Dear Mother Nature,
I know sometimes people ask a lot from you, but this time is different. I also know that sometimes things are out of control and its hard to get back on task. However this is a different situation. A couple of weeks ago it was in the 80 degree range. It was nice, we had the windows open and the kids played outside. If you moved to much you would even sweat. Know I am not a big fan of sweat but at a time like this I would be willing to take it all on. In case you haven't heard my wedding is in 15 days...15 days dear mother and I am asking, no begging you to please send the cold, rainy, windy weather down to our friends in Florida. They do not need the warm weather all the time. They need to share. Please take this into consideration and know that if I always had beautiful weather I would share it for this one special life altering day.

Yours Truly,
Tasha

P.S. I will send you cake...

I think I'm losing it

wedding countdown: 23 days

I know I have been gone a couple of days. I am really stressing about the wedding. Just finalizing the last few details is giving me a headache. I have 3 weeks filled with only 2 weekends to get anything done and that is not enough time. I started tanning yesterday. Please spare the advice about being bad blah harmful blah and something about UV blah. I do not want to be a ghost for my wedding so if I do this for the next 2 weeks I am good to go. I used to tan all the time before Hannah and have not in the past 6 years, I think I can handle 3 weeks. Tanning is actually very relaxing for me...I turn on the music lay down and have 10-20 minutes of FREEDOM.

My final dress fitting is Friday, and the final payment on the reception hall is Saturday. All these final things are making me nervous. What if I forgot something and not even thinking about and it and then on the day of the wedding I will be like OMG, What did I do and why did I not get this _____ (fill in the blank)

Any advice from you married ladies out there. I am so scared that something will go wrong...HELP.

weekend round up

I am alive! I have so much to talk about. 1st my party was awesome. I had so much fun. We did have some problems with people backing out and I had to put in some more money than expected, but it was all worth it. The limo people gave us some problems too, but they made up for it with a free upgrade to a stretch hummer. We were riding in style. No pictures of the out side because it was dark, but pleanty of pictures to come soon. The night started out with a Pure Romance party, and then the hummer picked us up around 10. We went to 3 different bars and then had our own party in the hummer between places. everyone had a great time. Pictures to come soon...Check back for it, you won't be disapointed.

2nd on the list to talk about is Alanna is sick...Poor baby. She has had a fever for 2 days now and its been at 101.5. My mom and stepdad took her and Hannah to a hotel to swim on Saturday and they had a blast. Sunday Alanna woke up not feeling to well. When she came home she was burning up and I took her temp. Chris and I decided to take her to an urgent care center and she has an ear infection, and her throat is really red.which means it probably hurts her really bad. The dr gave us some medicine and told us to alternate between infants motrin and infant tylenol. She woke up this morning with a fever still so day 2 begins of operation sick baby. I feel like a bad momma because I am at work, but I have called and checked on her 100 times (no joke) and she is doing okay. Chris will be up this afternoon to take over so she will only be with our AWESOME babysitter for half the day. Yes our babysitter/nany is the best. When she came over this morning Alanna just laid in her arms. I do feel happy to have her and that is one of the reasons I went to work...the others being a big event at the end of this month that may or may not be taking all my sick days and money...Again I do feel confident in out nanny and I know she will and does take good care of the girls.

3rd on my list to talk about...HELLO its April 2. YES April 2, that means the wedding is in 26 days....all together now SCREAM...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

March 28, 2007

I heart my family

I can not believe it. The wedding countdown is at 30 days from today. That means in exactly 1 month I will be married. Its almost doesn't sound real. Everyone keeps asking me if I am nervous. I am. I am nervous that things won't come together, I am nervous that I am going to be an emotional wreck, I am nervous about being nervous. I go for my final dress fitting next Friday and then after that we have to do the bouquets and the wedding favors. Then all done! I think I am on top of things right now.....we will check back on that thought in a few weeks.
Can you guess what we had for dinner tonight? If you are thinking spaghetti then you are right. Poor baby her food kept falling of the spoon so she just dug in like no other. She would pull the bowl done and giggle, take a deep breathe and dig right back in. She had me cracking up. It was one of the funniest things she has done so far....oh except for last night...

I don't know about all of you, but I love to nibble on Alanna toes. Especially when she gets out of the bathtub. She thinks this is something funny. Well lately we have been pretend her feet smell and make a big PEW WEE noise. Last night Hannah took off her socks and Alanna ran over to them and SMELLED them and yelled PEW WEE!! Hannah and I rolled on the floor laughing. Well Alanna being the entertainer that she is took the sock and shoved it in Hannah's face. Hannah pretended to pass out and I thought Alanna was gonna pass out herself from going the full fledged toddler belly laugh. She found herself so funny that she carried on like this for the next 45 minutes. Shoving the sock in my face and then Hannah's back and forth and every time finding it funnier than before. These are my favorite moments with my girls. These are the memories that I hope stay with them. The fun times where we just sit back and laugh. After Alanna was in bed, Hannah looked at me and said, wow Alanna was a lot of fun tonight, I love my cute baby sister. She doesn't know it, but Hannah brought tears to my eyes and melted my heart.

Tell me how you really feel

Remember when I wrote about the new button in my side bar? The one where you can click on it and leave me a message for my upcoming wedding. Well I am reminding you that you can still leave me a message. Remember it can be a peom, a joke, or even some assvice will be taken to heart. Then on my wedding day, I will be able to open up the messages and see what everyone has left me.

PS I'm gonna be an Aunt...My brother and his girlfriend just announced a baby will be here on November 11th...YAY me, oh and them too! Congrats guys.

March 19, 2007

But God, you are still invited....of course.

Chris and I fired our preacher. Well not the preacher we would see every Sunday if we went to Church, but the preacher who we hired to marry us. So not only did he want us to read books that were written in the 1970's he also wanted us to take tests and quizzes about our personality and temperament, one test was 180 questions and the other 150. Chris had, had it. He said either I fire him nicely or he would do it not so nice. (have I mentioned the preacher was my dads cousins husband?) So I decided to do it nicely. But in return I did not get a nice ending to our conversation...Well I guess not all gods peoples can be nice... I feel less stressed. I did enjoy the counseling, but the one book talked about in order to please your husband and make him happy a wife should always be happy and look her best...ummmm, I like to look nice for Chris but I felt the book was for the Brady bunch and not us. Anyways, since it was done Chris said he is happier, because everything was stressing him out. I understand where he was coming from...he barely has enough time for us let alone reading and test taking. If Chris and I don't know each other by now, then what are we doing getting married? I think that with our without the tests, we will make a happy married couple.
