A healthy baby...

I had a little scare last night. After dinner I got these sharp pains in my stomach. Chris and I decided to go to the hospital. After several tests and an ultrasound later everything is okay. I did have to stay the night in the hospital for observation and after much pampering from the nurses I was released this morning. I had an ultrasound around 11:00 last night. I seen and heard the heartbeat, I seen the baby sucking the thumb and I seen the baby moving around. I also seen something else...I seen a penis. Yup thats right we have a penis people. My beautiful little boy. I'm gonna be a momma to a son. Geez that sounds great!
I had to go to the store today and guess what I bought. His 1st little onesie. Its blue with a fire truck and under neath it says "This is a firetruck, it goes we-oo, we-oo. Its the cutest little blue outfit I have ever seen. We are so grateful that our baby is healthy and a boy!

Chris and I have already started arguing over boy names. He says my names are to girly and his are just off the wall crazy. So if you have any suggestions you would like to share, please feel free to leave a comment. And now I must go rub my belly and talk to my boy! Have a great weekend!

its turning my brain to mush

So YES, you guessed it..I am prego. That is We are so super excited. I found out a couple of weeks ago with like 5 home PT tests. Unfortunetly I have not made it to the doctors yet, because of Alannas surgery and the weekend my mom was here..but I have an appt on Monday so more info to come on that. My estimated due date per the internet is Auguset 4, 2008 which is really cool because that right in between my birthday and Chris'. It is not cool however because its right dab in the middle of the HOT HOT HOT summer, so air conditioners beware! My girls both came early to do hypertension problems, so if this baby comes early too, the baby might be born on my birthday July 23 or maybe my older brothers July 25...but no way on Chris' August 21 or my moms August 25. I guess only time will tell.

Everyone keeps asking if we are hopeing for a boy. I guess secretly yes we are. However as usual we just want a healthy baby. Chris said if he gets 1 more girl he's moving out becuase he can't take all the women..I do feel bad for him sometimes....only sometimes though :)

I have been feeling okay...not sick yet, but so extrememly tired, that I can barely lift my arms to blow dry my hair in the mornings...I don't remember the tiredness, and it hasn't even been that long ago. I fall asleep on the couch almost everynight around 8:35...Thats exactly 35 mintues after Alanna and 5 minutes after Hannah is in bed. I always think to myself, that I shoudl go to bed, but never make it that far. The other night I must have fallen asleep earlier than that because I woke up at 11:00 and Alanna was sleeping on my legs and Hannah was asleep on the other couch...hmmm, what happen, I don't remember :)

Pregnancy brain has kicked in...I forget things, simple things and the other day I erased all the pictures I had saved on our new camera. The ones of the girls in their Christmas dresses before their pictures, the ones of Alanna's surgery, her in recovery, even the ones of my mom while she was here visiting. I also deleted all the videos I have been saving too show..yup, I am smart, for some reason I was fiddling around with the buttons on the camera and formatted the SD card or something like that and it erased all the adorable pictures I had....I am sick to my stomach about it...

I'm also still working on learning how to uplaod the movies to my computer and then publish them on blogger. With me being so tired I have had NO time to learn how to do it or even attempt to try, so soon, thats all I have to say.

Kylee Joan, day 8

Kylee Joan is here! She is absolutely gorgeous! She was born at 6:52 p.m and was
6 pounds 4.5 oz.
I was there to see it ALL. Its amazing. Her mommy is such a trooper. I am so proud of her. Daddy was good too. To bring a life into this world is really something else. I wish mommy and daddy all the best and I can't wait to hold "my" baby again. More pictures will definitely be coming soon.
(picture below may be a little graphic)

Kylee, day 8

Change of plans. Tammy went into the hospital at 4:00 yesterday. I'm on my way up there right now to see her. Baby should be here today!

November 6, 2007

Day 6, She's cominggggg

Guess what I have not told you? Oh, come on, just play the game. Give up????? Tammy (my brothers girlfriend) is getting induced tomorrow November 7th at 9 p.m. I am so excited. She is getting induced early, but not to early she is 38 1/2 weeks tomorrow, but with toxemia and all the other stuff that goes a long with it, the doctor thinks this is best. I'm working tomorrow and half a day on Thursday and then I have Friday off, but I have parent teacher conferences and a lunch date with Lindsey on Friday, so hopefully the baby will corporate and come Thursday night, wouldn't that be great? Hopefully she won't go through a long labor, but of course I will be here to tell you every detail....

What can I say? I've been resting up for NaBloPoMo, and that is where I have been. Really!
Actually I have been taking a little break. Now that the baby shower, is over Alanna's BDay is in 2 weeks. Yes you heard me right, Alanna will be turning 2 in 2 weeks, AHHHHHHH. I finally got the invitations sent out yesterday and some are still sitting in my purse. I now have to plan her party, which by the way is an ice cream social. We are gonna get ice cream and all sorts of toppings and let people dig in and create their own sundaes...Cute huh? Anyways I've been on a search for decorations and presents. Because what do you really get a 2 girls old who has a big sister, who was the first granddaughter?? I have to use my imagination on that one, hehe.
We or should I say Chris and his friend Phil carved pumpkins Sunday night. Hannah is the big one and Alanna is the little one. (See pic above). These are our over priced pumpkins from the apple orchard a couple of weeks ago. Hannah designed her carving and then Phil executed it quite nicely. I designed Alanna's and her daddy tried very hard...LOL. No I'm just kidding he did great. Alanna had lots of fun watching. Check out the whole scene here.
GUESS WHOS COMING TO TOWN??? NO not Santa Clause, MY MOM!!!!! She booked her flight today and will be here Thursday November 29. I cannot wait to see her. In some ways it still seems like she lives around the corner and we have been really busy and haven't gotten to see each other, and then other times I miss her so much, that I cry. I cannot wait, a little over a month...Be prepared for many posts about my mom coming to visit...I am so HAPPY.
We went and visted Baby Matthew today...Well, yes in some ways he is still a baby, however I think porker is a much better word. Little Matty is 1 month old and about 3 days and he weighs over 11 pounds. Yes in the beginning the chubbers weighed 9 pounds, but HOLY COW, this boy is HUGE...In a cuddle and never want to give him back to mommy sort of way. We did have to cut out visit short because one of my children did not nap..cough, Alanna, cough..and was very naughty. I use that word because some others may be inapropriate for some to read, LOL. Alanna is in this phase where if she doesn't get her way she will stand there and scream..Just scream, not cry, whine, no, just scream...Its a great phase...please god let it be a phase. Oh I didn;t tell you. Alanna is 1 week clean of her pacifier. It started with her phase (screaming) last Tuesday. When I got home from work she ran to the corner of the kitchen we used to kep the pacifiers and started screaming anf didn't stop for about an hour or so...I was not about to turn around and give it to her for bed in 20 minutes so I just put her to bed without it....and that was it. She asked for it the next night, but I told her she was a big girl and they were all gone...It was kinda easy, so I've been scared to mention anything about it, but I thought hey its been a week...
Well tomorrow is Halloween. And now that I used up about a weeks worth of blog posts for Novemeber, prepare for some EXTRA cuteness of the girls tomorrow...The pictures of their costumes will be posted tomorrow night....Until then, have a happy night.

October 26, 2007

Thank you all for your well wishes. The doctor kept Tammy in the hospital another night for observation. He is sending her home with bedrest and having a nurse to check on her daily. Thats some serious stuff. The docotro also said that if her blood pressure is still high he will induce her at 38 weeks. Thats in about 1 1/2-2 weeks away. Hopefully there won't be a need to take the baby earlier than that. I know exactly what she is going through. I went through the exact same with Hannah. Staying in the hospital and then bedrest and even the home nurse. I was on bedrest for 3 1/2 weeks with Hannah and she still was born 2 1/2 weeks early. Don't worry between my brother, me and all Tammy's sisters, she has 4, we will take good care of her....

Anyways with all this talk of the unborn, lets talk about the already here...My sweet nephew Matthew is already almost a month old. Can you believe it. I haven't been able to see him because Alanna was sick, but his mommy is the best and sends Aunt Tasha pictures all the time. here is one of my favorites. later tonight I will put more pics up on flickr, so check back tomorrow. He looks just like his daddy. Don't ya just want to gobble him up...Just in time for Thanksgiving...Pass me a cheek, and 1 baby belly, please!

Kylee

Yesterday I get a call from Tammy (my brothers girlfriend). Her doctor is sending her to the hospital. Her blood pressure is really high. We all go into emergency mode, because she has Alanna, Hannah is at school and no one is home to get her off the bus.. No one can get a hold of my brother, because he is at work and she is left alone to go to the hospital. I make several calls and finally everyone has a place to be. I leave a message for my brother and hope for the best. All the doctors and nurses gather round and diagnose her. She now has toxemia. They say she will be okay, but she has to take it easy now. She has to stay in the hospital for 24 hours before she can be released. The doctor says that if her blood pressure continues, then he will take the baby by next week. Hopefully Kylee will stay inside her momma and "bake' alittle more, but I can't help but be a little excited to see her so soon.

TIRED

Well the baby shower was a success. I was so TIRED by the end of the day, I could hardly move. Tammy and Kyle got so many GREAT things, it took her like an hour or more to open all the presents. If you want to see all the boring details click here. (If not really thats okay, I put them on flickr for my mom to see.)
I do want to show you the blanket I made for Kylee. (first pic)I also made T shirts. Well Chris and I did. He helped design them. We made some for Matthew too, but I couldn't show the pics until I had given them to Tammy at her baby shower. We also made some for Alanna. Its my new favorite thing to do, besides the blankets. We have the Gators shirt. We found the logo and ironed it on, my mom found the booties in Florida and sent them to me to surprise my brother (He is a HUGE Gators fan), Gobble Gobble for Thanksgiving ( both babies and Alanna), I'm 2 (Alanna) and then Boo for Matthew and Alanna. On the right we have the bottom of the Gators on the butt, and then shirts for Kylee. Matthew got some personalized ones too. His last name is Beach, so we had Son of a BEACH and also BEACH BUM, (they were cute, but I forgot the pics). Oh what would be complete with out showing the cake and the letters her momma made her. We founbd these at Joann Fabrics for .99 cents plus the paint. Tammy painted and put the polka dots on them...SO CUTE!

I took Alanna to the doctors today. She had an early stage ear infection and was givn an antibiotic and some cough medicine. The doctor wants her to see an ENT doctor for an ear/hearing check up because it seems Alanna has had a pretty busy history of earaches and she wants the fluid checked..Shes thinking maybe tubes. She said this could be causing her slight speech delay, if she has fluid its harder for her to hear and then harder for her to pronounce the words. I'm supposed to make an appt in about a week, once her cold starts to go away. I'll keep you updated.

October 19, 2007

Oh what a week. It has been one crazy thing after another. My brother and his girlfriend (Tammy) are having the baby shower this Sunday. I can't wait to see all the awesome stuff they get. Tammys sister and I have worked really hard on this, I sure hope it all turns out well.
Not having my mom here helping plan all this has been really hard. Usually I run to her with every little thing, and now I have to descrive everything over the phone. What keeps me going is knowing she will be here soon to visit. Hopefully end of November beginning of December. Yup, my mom is leaving the warm comforts of Florida to come remember the cold winters of Michigan. Aren't you excited mom?

Speaking of my mom, I was talking to her last night and she told me something very interesting yet exciting. My grandma, whom I love so much is getting married. The crazy thing about it, is that they have been dating a couple of weeks. But in her defense I guess they have known each other for a little while and are having almost a year engagment. So next September we will be traveling to North Carolina to see a wedding. I am so excited, anyone up for a road trip?

Have I told you that Alanna is sick? She is working on a fever ranging from 100.8 to 101.8. We've been giving her some motrin and trying to help her feel better. Today was the first day her fever broke. She still has a cough and a runny nose, I would like to thank my daughter Hannah for spreading the germs around. I also have come down with the sniffles. so we are a sicky family. A family that snots together stays together. Oh I almost forgot. I asked for some advice at Lindsays new site for moms and dads. Go check it out and tell me what to do!

ra-ra-random

~The weather here in Michigan is always so messed up. Its kind of a running joke that if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute and it will change. This month we are having unseasonable warm weather. Over the weekend it was in the 80s and yesterday it hit about 91 depending on your area, I do believe that it was a record too. The normal temp for this time if year is 65. Today the weather is suppose to be in the low 70s. Thats a 20 degree difference over night. Tomorrow it gets even better and the temp is supposed to be in the 60s...In a matter of 2 days we go from sweating, hot, humid, almost unbearable weather with the air conditioner on to jeans, sweatshirts, turn the heat on weather...Crazy.

~Hannah finally decided on a halloween costume. She had me worried this year. She could not make up her mind to save the end of the world. I took her to a halloween store, that a friend worked at and she walked around the entire store, saying what about this? and maybe I'll be this, but in the end she picked something out. I am proud of her. Sorry I can't tell you though, you have to wait until Halloween....Alanna was easy. She is using the costume Hannah wore when she was about this age...Its super cute, but you have to wait for that too.

~Has anyone ever had any problems with paypal? Last April Chris was selling some things on ebay, and we have never sold anything before. 2 out of like 20 items were damaged during shipping, and even though the buyer opted out of the shipping insurance they argued. Paypal then put a hold on our account and said that we were a risked at selling items because 2 were damgaed. We already refunded the buyers there money, but paypal still held placed a 180 day hold on our account and we have had to wait 6 months to get the money that was ours. Paypal is stating that anytime we sell anything, they will place the hold on the account to varify if there are any problems...I kinda got into it with the paypal rep last night because today is our 180 th day and they said they have to review the account again...For what? So anyways long sotry short, we should be getting that money soon. So are we the only ones who have problems? I'm thinking about closing the account.

~My brother and his girlfiend are having their baby shower in 2 weeks. I have been really busy trying to get everything together. I ordered the cake frm my other brother today...I can't wait to see it, its gonna be so cute. Polka dots, that the decotations on the cake he is gonna do. My neice Kylee should be here in about 6 weeks, I can't wait to hold her..I'm already in love.

~Babt Matthew is doing great. I just seen him last night. Him and mommy were taking a walk and I seen them as I was coming home. He is as sweet as sweet can be. I love him too.

~Our baby planning is still ongoing..We have been "practicing", Thanks to everyone for their sweet comments and encourage thoughts.

September 29, 2007

Here's Matthew...He is so sweet.
He was 9 pounds, 1 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. Mom, dad and baby are doing great and hopefully coming home today.

September 28, 2007

He's Here, He's Here!
Matthew Michael was born last night weighing a hefty
9 pounds 1 oz.
Mom and baby are doing great from what I hear.
We'll probably get to the hospital tonight after work, and then
if mom and dad says its okay I will have PICTURES!!!

nothingness

**Updated**Chris just called and said his brither called him and they have been at thge hospital since 4:00am and she is 8cc dialated. Whew hoo! Heres comes the baby!

  • Well still no baby, but I did send her an email today at work and I got no resposnse. Maybe her water broke and she had to be rushed to the hospital...Maybe its just hopeful thinking.

  • Today is a boring day. I have no work to do, I have nothing that I need to do, and I have no one I need to call. Now If I could transfer all this nothingness to home, then I would have plenty to do. In the mean time, I swear I am just staring at a blank computer screen, wishing some work would magically appear.

  • Hannah is still doing good in school. She is slowly getting back into the school swing of things. Alanna is becoming a monster. I think she was recently possessed with an evil demon, because my once sweet little girl is now a whiny, non listening theif. She won't talk, just whine, she won't listen, just temper tantrums, and she takes things she knows she is not allowed to touch. I guess this is the 2's coming early. WAY to early if you ask me...Hannah didn't get her 2's until she was almost 3...

  • Thanks to everyone who wished my mom well. I still think its crazy that that stupid guy fired her for smoking, but she is working hard on finding a new job. I asked her how it feels to be employed for 20 years and no be unemployed...She ust laughed a not so happy laugh at me.
Is this is enough randomness to be called a post?

September 25, 2007

hes not here yet

Ahhh, I am so impatient. My new baby nephews due date is today, TODAY people, and so far he is not here....Doesn't he know that he has an Aunt and a whole big, loud family just waiting on the other end for him. Actually, maybe he does and thats why he is staying in....
Did you ever see that one commercial, where the 2 ladies are up against the store window and its dark outside, and they are tapping on the glass shanting, open, open, open? I think it was for Khols or something...Thats kinda how I feel. Open up already and bring me the baby to love!!!!! We haven't had a new baby in the family since Alanna and David, when they were born almost 2 years ago. At that time I couldn't enjoy David, because I had Alanna, and I really enjoyed Alanna, but its always better when its someone elses baby, right? But now that Alanna is almost 2 now and I can so enjoy a baby, this baby, a baby that I do not have to lose sleep over, but love him just the same...

PS, here is a little tip for you, when your health insurance company sends out a letter to adv that it is recommended that you get a flu shot, please take that as YES the insurance company will cover it...if they are recommending it, they will cover it..Thanks.

random

Here is the picture of me and the girls at the Princess party at the library last Saturday. The little girl on thr left is Jade, she is my brothers girlfriends little sister..

A few random things that have crossed my mind this week, and I thought I would mention them:
-I have had both my heat and my air on this week
-My mom got fired from her job, that she moved out of state for, for smoking a ciggerette in her car outside of the propery, when she told them she was a smoker (I have no clue?)
-Less than a week for my nephew to be here and less than 10 weeks for my neice, which would put Alanna's 2nd BDay in less than 10 weeks...OMG
-Chris and I have been married almost 5 months, holy cow, I feel old...just kidding
-Alanna is becoming a "real" person. We had our 1st "real" conversation today.
-Today we had a meeting at work about our 401K. WOW, I really had no clue..
-There are a million stupid people in the world for every 1 smart person.
Example: At my job people call me to get health benefits. This particular call has happened several times, different people.
Caller: Can you tell me if marriage counseling is covered?
Me: Marriage Counseling is not a covered benefit, however we do cover individual services.
Caller: Are you sure, because we really need the counseling for marriage?
Me: (getting frusterated already) Yes, I am sure, but I will check one more time.
Me: I'm sorry its still not a covered benefit for any member, would you be interested in indv services?
Caller: (screaming) So you just want us to get a divorce and then pay for mental health services when I am depressed and need medication to survive.
Me: ?????
-I lost 18 pounds people, I have never lost 18 pounds before. Watch out here comes a skinny minnie, sorry I am just super excited!
-I have a web cam, so if anyone else does and you wanna talk, I'm on AIM. Just email me and I will tell you my screen name...We could be face to face.
Thats all for now...

September 17, 2007

Ugh, I am finally done with training at work. Training a new employee is so exhausting and takes all my patience and throws them out the window..

Basically we had a normal weekend here. Saturday me and my brothers girlfriend Tammy took the girls and Tammys little sister Jade who is 3 to a Princess Party at our local library. It was really sweet. Princess attire welcomed, so the girls wore crowns and necklaces...Alanna and Jade had on bracelts too. The fairy godmother was there and she read fairy books. The girls had apple jiuce and cookies and got to decorate a crown with jewels and then a pink castle picture frame. They took pictures of the girls with the fairy godmother too...of course I forgot my camera, so I have to wait until Tuesday to pick up the picture from the library..Hannah didn't have to much fun, I think she was a litttle old, but over all it was a fun morning.

I really busted on ww this weekend. Chris, me, the girls and my MIL went to Red Lobster, a sea food resturant, and I had some chicken, veggies and a potatoe..of course the chicken had stuff on it, the potatoe had butter and sour cream and then I had a salad with ranch...Did I mention the banana cheese cake? It was all sooo good. But I am back on track with just a moment of lapse for some sweet, yummy food.

Chris' brothers wife, I guess that would make her my sister in law, is due any day now with my nephew..he better get here quick because his Aunt Tasha is about to explode with excitment..Chris and I made a special surprise for them, but I can't tell you yet, because Lisa reads this, so as soon as Matthew gets here, I'll let you know...Oh the suspense!
