I haven't bought and returned anything lately, but the last item returned was a shirt from Hannah's birthday..it didn't fit. .

I usually don't wear anything....because I heard mosquitos get you more when you wear perfume, and I get bit enough without...why make it worse?

Merry Chriastmas meme

I haven't had much to say lately. So I thought a meme might be nice for a change.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?

I really prefer gift bags, since I suck at wrapping. I always like picking out the cutest bags and the tissue paper to match.

2. Real tree or Artificial?

We have an artificial tree. I like to keep my tree up for a long time and it was always more practical.

3. When do you put up the tree?

Always the day after Thanksgiving. It just seems right.

4. When do you take the tree down?

The tree usually comes down January 2. Its always the second because usually the first, I'm not feeling well. Go figure :)

5. Do you like eggnog?

I've only had it once and it was okay.

6. Favourite gift received as a child?

This is a hard one. I was very fortunate growing up and pretty much always got what I asked for. But if I had to think really hard I would have to say my own TV for my room. I think I was about 10 or so. That was pretty nice, I felt grown up.

7. Hardest person to buy for?

My mom, hands down. She is the type of person I always want to buy the best gift for and have yet to achieve that.

8. Easiest person to buy for?

Alanna. She is at that age that as long as its a toy, she loves it :)

9. Do you have a nativity scene?

No.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?

I always mail.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?

It was the Christmas after Hannah was born. My boyfriends mom bought me a case of cheap makeup all in pinks and oranges. It was definitely something.

12. Favourite Christmas Movie?

Elf, with Will Ferrell. He is the funniest Elf I ever seen. Then comes The Santa Claus with Tim Allen.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?

Sometime in December. Usually when I have to finally face the fact winter is here and Christmas is in a few weeks.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?

Yes, but hear me out. Hannah got this Barbie Fairy Princess DVD last year and never opened it. Her Best Friends birthday is in February and we needed a present so in the birthday bag it went. She loved it, and Hannah can still keep a secret. LOL.

15. Favourite thing to eat at Christmas?

We always go to my dads on Christmas Eve, and my step mom has all these appetizers and finger foods laid out. They are the best. I always look forward to her food on Christmas Eve.

16. Lights on the tree?

Whats a tree without lights? A Christmas tree always needs lights.

17. Favourite Xmas song?Favourite carol?

Rudolph the red nose reindeer, Carol of the bells, and Jingle Bell Rock.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?

Christmas eve is my dads, and Christmas day is our house.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

This is easy, see # 17. You know Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixon, On Comet, Cupid, Donner Blitzen and of course Rudolph.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?

Like I said before, we do my dads on Christmas Eve, so we get presents there and our house on Christmas day...So BOTH.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?

Even thought its supposed to be the holiday of cheer, giving and love. People are the most crabbiest this time of year. The stress of gifts and shopping just gets to them.

23. Favourite ornament theme or colour?

It has to be all the personalized ornaments. As you can see Hannah as more than the other 2, well her name is sort of popular, Alanna is not and Ben just started. But I have faith they will catch up. :)

24. Favourite memory of Christmas?

I have 2 very specific ones. First before my dad took over Christmas Eve, we used to have it at my grandmas house. She passed aways when I was 12. She always had a gold tree with white doves. I remember my dad would pick us up and take us to her house. I would always be so excited because my big brother Todd would always be there on Christmas, usually with a new girlfriend each year. When I was younger I didn't see much of Todd and it was always special. The second one is much different. When I was much younger I was a Jehovah witness, and didn't celebrate Christmas. The 1st Christmas my mom and dad divorced, my mom let us celebrate Christmas. We didn't have any Christmas decorations, so my mom made stockings out of cardboard and wrapped them with wrapping paper. I still remember it. It was red with Santa faces all over it. We had a 3 foot tree covered in homemade ornaments. It was the best tree I ever had. Thanks mom.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?

There so many material things I would like. But really I would give it all up just to know Chris could get a job SOON.

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?
I was 16 years old (would be 17 in about a month). School just let out and I would be heading to my senior year in high school in the fall. I was working at a restaurant called Olgas with most of my friends. Little did I know that in 3 days I would go to a graduation party and meet a boy. He would soon became my 1st love and we would date for 3 years after that. (No it wasn't Chris, he actually was the 2nd love of my life)

2. What are 5 things on your to-do list today?
Finish my cases in my inbox for work, decide what to eat for lunch, pack up some personal things left on my desk, Alanna needs a bath, and relax.

3. What are some snacks you enjoy?
I love cool ranch Doritos, little Debbie snack cakes, especially the cosmic brownies, or frozen grapes.

4. What would you do if you were a billionaire?
Take care of all the family, and make sure my kids are set.

5. What are three of your bad habits?
I yell to much, I am a constant lister (I write lists all the time and list everything to Chris, he hates it), I am a clean freak..But not in the sense of cleaning for dust or germs, it just has to look clean, but not be clean..(does that make sense?)

I love to read, but lately finding a quiet moment to do so is VERY hard. The last books I read were the entire Harry Potter series last summer.

Friday Favorites

Today I will tell you about Alanna's favorite fashion, her boots. She has these boots that are starting to get really small on her. She wants to wear them with everthing. Pajamas, diapers, and clothes. It doesn't matter. She even wants to wear the to bed. If she has them on and I try to take them off before nap she cries and tries to put them back on herself. One day last week her and Hannah were sitting on the couch and Hannah thought she wanted her boots off so Hannah helped her. Alanna got so mad she picked up her boots, crawled off the couch and came to me. She sat on her butt and put both feet in the air and held up her boot to put it on...It was a sight.









Oh and check out her hat. She wore this all day last Saturday.

Friday Favorites

One of my favorite TV showes is Heros. I know that I have talke dbaout this before, but I thought it was worthy for friday favorites. I don't watch many shows faithfully, a few here and there and some once in awahile. heroes on the other hand I watch faithfully. From the beginning its has made me hold my breath in anticipation. I love the story lines and how it keeps you guessing after every episode. Heroes has went away until April and I am sad....Hopefully when it comes back it will be just as thrilling as ever.

YAY its fixed. Gotta love Lindsay. She is the best isn't she? I cried to her and she fixed it, what would I do without her? I asked her the same question and I told her I would have an ugly, messed up page is what I would have. I like to pretend sometimes that I can add things in my side bar without bothering her to do it for me everytime, but then I mess it up and she ends up fixing it anyways. Poor Lindsay, I bet she wishes she could take it back that 1st email we exchanged about designing me a page. Good thing I am loveable and she likes me.....

Don't forget today is friday, yes I know how could we forget, what I mean is its friday favorites time. Today I am writing about my favorite shirt. Don't laugh you know you have one. The shirt you want to wear everyday but in order to look like you are not trashy or dirty you wear it every other day instead. The one shirt you want to wear out to events all the time because you think/know you look good in it. I have one. Its the black turtle neck. YES you think, I have seen that shirt before. I reply with yes I wear the shirt often. This is the shirt that I always take pictures in because I like the way they turn out when I wear it. I do have other shirts that I wear, you just never see them because again I try only to take pictures in the black turtle neck. How did I come to love this shirt so much you ask? Good question. I stole it from Chris. We used to fight over who would get to wear it until I sprayed my perfume on it and he doesn't like to smell like a girl. now it belongs to me. once in awahile he will look at it and try to tell me the shirt belongs to him, but I just remind him the shirt has a better home in my draw than his. So this is my friday favorite for this week.

Okay Michelle over at Futtering Butterflies has started a new meme. Its called Friday Favorites and I am going to play along this week. I have many favorite things, but Michelle did food so I thought I would too. My favorite ethinic food is mexican and I will share a favorite receipe with you.

ENCHILADAS

1 package of large flower tortillas

2 regular size cans of (red, mild) enchilada sauce

1 can of refried beans

1 pound groud beef

2 packages of shredded cheese

Optional: 1 bunch of green onions, chopped lettuce,

or other toppings of choice

Brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Lay out the tortillas and spread a spoon full of beans. Spoon 1-2 tbsp of beef onto the tortillas and then sprinkle desired amount of cheese on top. Roll tortillas up like a burrito and lay fold side down in a pan usually about 9 1/2 X 13. After all tortillas are in the pan, pour both cans of enchilada sauce over the entire thing. Sprinkle cheese on top of the sauce until fully covered. Top with optional green onions. Bake in the oven at 450 for about 10-15 mintues or until cheese is fully melted. Top with optional lettuce and serve with sour cream and salsa. YUM-ME!

I love my blog, my friend Lindsay designed it for me! She is awesome

Some of my family does, but I think only my mom, SIL, and MIL read it on occassion

I tell a few of my friends, but none of them are really into blogging like me.

I read everyone on my blogroll. Every so often I will edit it and add a few or take a few away. If I get a new commentor, I always make sure to check them out.

I feel good after I blog, I would say YES

I used to think it would mean something, but latley I don't even check

YES, if I find a new person I will read them first and try to make a picture up...then I will check out their pics to see how close I am.

I think it helps people to organize thoughts and get feelings out there

9.Do you think that the blogosphere is a stand alone community separated from the real world?
No the blogoshpere is made up of real people just like a normal community. I think some bloggers are braver than "real" people though

I avoid them

11.Do you think that criticizing your blog is useful?
NO, I think its mean, and stupid! Everyone has a right to their opinion, but these are real peoples thoughts, feelings and lives. We should respect them as we would in real life. I wouild never say anything mean on purpose to a fellow blogger and you would never catch me going up to a person and being critical to them

12.Have you ever thought about what would happen to your blog in case you died?
Umm, no not really, but thanks for putting that in my head. It would probably just sit at the last post I had written before the horrible day.

13.Which blogger had the greatest impression on you?
I just found Three Sons and a Princess. She is adopting a baby girl from Russia right now. Actually she is in Russia bringing her baby home. She has inspired me and reading about her adventure has opened my eyes to adoption as well.

14.Which blogger do you think is the most similar to you?
This is a tough one. I would have to say Lindsey because we are both young and getting ready to settle down in our relationships with our other person. I just recently bought a house and she is looking. I am planning a wedding and any day now I feel it, she will be too! :)

You Save Me, by Kenny Chesney will be Chris and mine wedding song. I could listen to it for HOURS. It describes us both really well!
